well it is only a start u cant expect to have it all at once i me3an look at the tank in ww1 that looked crappy and was but xsince then tanks have evolved from the oen's of ww1 to the mighty tanks of today so my point is combat bots will soon evolve into more powerful versions

No, but you get the idea of a war machine.

 

And all robots would concievably be programed by humans, there for making us smarter, and a computer only has so much memory, so much RAM. The human brain is seemingly limitless. We can measure the computing power of a computer, but IQ tests are only acurate to a certain degree. The true test of human "RAM" and memory capacity is a little something called LIFE. A human can adjust, learn, and addapt from expiriences. However a robot will follow its programing. It may addapt somewhat, but never to the capacity that humans can and will.

I don't think it will take that long to develop good AI. Not as good as us but pretty good.
