New Allied Weapon Spotted

Urgent news from the battlefield sirs, the Allied engineering team has developed a powerful new weapon. We are unable to determine what it is or what it does but we are certain that it will be frighteningly powerful.

 

Our recon team spotted them testing it at a remote facility in the Egyptian desert. All our team was able to report back was this image showing it at work. The recon team apologizes for the poor image quality but the commanders had some sort of interference up...

Our team will try to retouch the image so that you will have a more clear view of the weapon.

Its a disruptor will some color values changed and some "static" put into the image.

Also, the voxel is a temp image. I'm making a new one and that's not the sonic code either. It's a special SHP railgun.

I think so, Frenzy....hmmm....nice mods.....I will look forward for the AI project. I hope this time the AI will be very hard to beat.

very cool... lol... does anyone have time to make the AI for normal yuri's revenge really hard? my dad and i are getting bored of the normal AI.... if someone can teach me is nice...

There are a lot of tutorials and mods out there that do this. In the rules.ini, you will have to change the AI threat rating system, you will have to make the attack teams different and larger, make it so the AI build tons of everything, stuff like that. Or you could battle online/LAN

lol... cygnus... i don't play much online or LAN... because my bro thinks cnc is crap... my dad chickens out because i killed him with 10 disks... and my mom doesn't play... and i busy sometimes too... lol... if anyone has time, send me the url to an AImd.ini tutorial, teach me how to edit, or send something to me... that would be nice... i need a brutal, easy setting AI to kick my ass... hehe...

lol... he doesn't like RTS games... he prefers action/adventure... maybe because it doesn't involve what's contained in the skull as much as RTS games...

.ini files are just text files opened in notepad. They are very easy to edit. For AI editing, read the values that are there, and for brutal, lessen the time btween attacks, enlarge the attack groups, and make all the buildings so that AIBuildsThis=yes

It's not that simple. The AI is a tricky beast and takes some time to fully understand. There are a large number of triggers that go unused in the lower difficulties because Westwood got lazy and didn't put them on all difficulties. Some are even unused in every difficulty setting, nice work coders. :roll:

 

Anywho, there are several rules edits you can make to increase the AI's effectiveness to a small degree. Attack intervals, defensive structure construction, number of harvesters to make, minimum/maximum defensive teams are among the many you can use.

 

Keep the teams relatively small otherwise the AI may never get around to using that specific team. The AI must be able to produce all of the units fast enough to send these teams on attack missions. Most times you can get around that problem by allowing the attack missin teams to use pool teams and defense teams.
