Cygnus X-1 12 Posted February 22, 2005 "Die Another Day" James Bond....yech (or however you spell that) Soviets could have also shot down GPS satelite in RA. Nod got the right idea though. Lets blast GDI orbital command to make life easier for us. Dont know why they didnt just shoot down the Ion Cannon while they're at it. Share this post Link to post
alleylee 0 Posted February 23, 2005 one of the best vehicle is the V3 rockets.... if you can get the missiles to land... lol... does the spy sat actually help the computer in any way? Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted February 23, 2005 No, making it build them makes it seem more intelligent. Share this post Link to post

Cygnus X-1 12 Posted March 4, 2005 They did use it if you do the Nod mission before the last one where itsa called Illegal Data Transfer. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted March 5, 2005 They did use it if you do the Nod mission before the last one where itsa called Illegal Data Transfer. Didn't they take it over? At least I got to use the Ion Cannon AND the Multi-missile in the last NOD mission Share this post Link to post

At least I got to use the Ion Cannon AND the Multi-missile in the last NOD mission Right. Thats what I was sayin. If you do the mission Illegal Data Transfer, Nod steals the code for the Ion Cannon and use it against GDI. Or they could have just shot the engines of the Philledephia with the Ion Cannon and it would have crashed. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted March 5, 2005 But that would be smart, and hey, it's NOD here! Besides, they wouldn't have to destroy the philadelphia to launch the missile with ION cannon down. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted March 5, 2005 But that would be smart, and hey, it's NOD here! Besides, they wouldn't have to destroy the philadelphia to launch the missile with ION cannon down. Nod isnt that dumb. With the Ion Cannon hitting the Philedelphia, Nod would be free to use their missiles to Tiberiumate the world. Notice how at the end of the Nod Campaign, the launch a big chemical missile to "Further Their Aims" and how at the end of the GLA campaign, they launch a big Chemical Missile to "Further Their Aims" as well. Kinda coincedental. Maybe EA needs help with creating an original storyline. Hope they get RA3 and TT right. Share this post Link to post
alleylee 0 Posted March 6, 2005 umm... i hope that ra3 has good graphics, and enables more freedom in ini editing... a lot more freedom... Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted March 7, 2005 that would be nice... generals was a bear to edit. I have great respect for those who can really mod it well Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted March 7, 2005 Yes they seem to like it to make modding harder and harder every c&c game. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted March 7, 2005 Generals is damn easy to mod. The tags are just a little more complex is all. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted March 7, 2005 I wouldn't say that it's damn easy fenring... compare it to the simple rules.ini of all the previous games. It is absolutely harder. Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted March 7, 2005 yeah, commandset.ini, commandbutton.ini, special.ini, rank.ini. 1 ini file for every side/general, section... so many ini files..... Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted March 7, 2005 It's just as easy. It's only different. I'm not as good at Generals yet but it's quite easy. Even with so many INI files, you always know exactly what you're editing. Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted March 7, 2005 thats true, the lines of the ini files explain themselves. Cost=800, (gee what can that mean? ) Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted March 12, 2005 Yeah, but voxel editing is a heck of a lot easier than the 3d models used in Generals. Although it does look a lot better. And with Generals .ini you have to find the specific file, such as Generals abilities is in one file, cost is another, weapon stats in another.....in the old games it was all there. Course it was a big pain to scroll through TS and RA2 .ini. BTW the XCC extractors can be used to "aquire" the music out of Generals and TS/FS. Also the map and intro music for RA and RA2 can be found and gotten fairly easyly. Cant find RA music though, which is a real bummer. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted March 12, 2005 The RA music is in main.mix -> scores.mix on the CD. Share this post Link to post
