Saracen 16 Posted February 26, 2005 This is 127kb luk3us, when the forum upload limit is 10kb. I've been trying to get animated gifs as avatars for ages, just one question, how'd you get round it? Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted February 26, 2005 Probably linked from offsite. That's my guess. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 27, 2005 muhahahah.. I used my uber hacking skills...... Naa... Its linked off site.... Now we must all stop posting in this topic before Sonic sees it.  Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted February 28, 2005 Probably linked from offsite. That's my guess. You guessed right, sorry no prize though  The avatar size restrictions only apply when the image gets uploaded to forums.cncnz.com. I could be a really mean bastard and disable offsite linking right now you know Now that everyone knows I get the feeling we will see heaps if animated avatar now. If people start taking advantage of this I will have to disable offsite linking. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 28, 2005 Hence why this topic should be quickely hidden away quickely before anyone else sees it. Share this post Link to post

chickendippers 1 Posted February 28, 2005 Well as long as they aren't 1Mb or anything! As long as it doesn't slow down poor Sonic's dial-up I'm sure it's OK. Share this post Link to post

Luk3us 63 Posted March 1, 2005 Get some Google ads so you can pay for your broadband Nooooooooooooo..................... Ads..................... Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted March 2, 2005 Get some Google ads so you can pay for your broadband Gaming Source don't allow hosted sites to run their own ads, why do you think the banners at the bottom don't display the old Chips N Bits ads anymore I can afford broadband, no that I have finished paying of a hire purchase account that I've had hanging my head for the past 2 years. I just think its a total rip off...... well for us here in NZ. Plus if decide to get it I have set it up so 4 computers in our house can share it, increasing the setup costs. The ironic thing is we were discussing the possibilty of getting broadband last night. I'm thinking about this plan.... Xtra JetStream Plus, 2Mbps download speed, 10GB data cap, $69.95 per month. Approx. $250 to set up in our house. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted March 2, 2005 Bah all the NZ plans suck. 10GB. Ha I go through that on dial up. Why don't you try Quick Silver. Its a whole $10 bucks cheaper per month. But ya have to sign up to their tolls program thing... Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted March 2, 2005 Hub = £10 20Mb Cat 5 cable = £10 Problem sorted A 10Gb cap sucks, not even the cheapest packages in the UK have that small a limit. Share this post Link to post
GeneralZ 0 Posted March 2, 2005 mines' is 30$ , but we pay an extra 30 for AOL :? Share this post Link to post

Sonic 295 Posted March 2, 2005 Bah all the NZ plans suck. 10GB. Ha I go through that on dial up. Yes they do suck, but what other choices do we have. Telecom have this country by the balls! I signed up for that Xtra JetStream Plus plan last night. It gets setup middle of next week. 10GB on dialup in 1 month luk3us  I doubt it. I looked at my usage for my Orcon account, for the month of January 1.6 GB was used, February was 1.3 GB. And that was 4 other computers using the account as well (at different times of course). I think the 10GB will be more than enough. If does run out I don't charged and extra, the speed of the connection drops back to a maximum of 64kbs. luk3us, I thought you were on broadband? Luk3us 63 Posted March 3, 2005 Nope. Did I give the impression I was? :? 10GB on dialup in 1 month luk3us I doubt it hehehehe yeah I suppose that is a little excessively extraggerated..... Imagine doing 10GB on dialup... You'd have to be online all month. Share this post Link to post
