Maybe there aren't alot of updates because you dont check out the main C&C websites like I do, I always go over CNCNZ, CNCDEN and modding forums & sites.

Maybe you should get someone to do that too and send a pm or make a post about it for CNCNZ.

 

(BTW: You outta check out your own Hosted sites for updates too )

 

If anybody else has idea's on how to get more updates on the main site, put 'm here

I don't see what is wrong with the amount of news posted... But then I hardly ever read any of it anyway... Unless it sounds interesting... Like the PSP thingey.... Then I steal that idea and make a thread... muhahahaha..

Well as far as active updaters go it's just the webmasters (Sonic & Myself). The last couple of days have been bad for me cos I've been tied up in bed with a flu like Virus and it's prevented me from staying on the PC for anymore than a few minutes.

 

Berlin88 & Malebranche are our other news updaters. I am aware they have not posted alot lately, and I've already sent e-mails to them concerning their lack of updates to the site. I will be sending another e-mail to them within the next few days, and if I don't have a reply within the next week or so they will be removed.

 

Looking in the News posting software, there is quite a list of people who have news posting rights, and all of the following can post whenever they feel like it. they are:

GenKiller (Inactive)

Rogue Leader (Inactive)

Phreakly (Inactive)

DeadEye (Inactive)

Unidentifiedname (part time)

Disposable Hero (part time)

Koen (part time)

C&C King (Active)

I will be advertising for news posters very soon as Sonic has put me in charge of the recruitment for staff. I'm just going to have to find my copy of Dreamweaver MX, as I have aparently lost it when I moved house. Then I can update the site with the open positions and such.

 

Things will improve, it's just going to take a bit of time. Sonic is showing me all the powerful, complex yet well structured tools that are used for this site. I am currently getting to know how everything works round here. Sonic also is concentrating on updating areas of the site, which are coming along quite well I must say.

 

Things won't happen overnight. Your patience is required. If you were in my position now, you'd quite easily see why this site has been going so strongly for so long. The long term work and effort of man hours that has been put into CNCNZ is incredible. There is a whole way of doing things here and I must respect that, as not to undo Sonic's hard work.

Most of the news floating around right now is all about modding, since there are so many mods in the community its immpossible to cover them all, however if we can find some more dedicated news updater coverage of this are can improve.

 

Thierry, I always check the Rebellion site for news, if you have anything you want posted on the main site just let me or CNC King know about it. Eventually Rebellion will be checked and any updates about it will appear on CNCNZ.com, you can count on that!

 

One of the new areas for the site I'm planning on adding is a mod index, not sure how I want to it work right now though.

Mod Index? That's a great idea but VERY, VERY hard to do. There's just too many mods out there for that to be possible... Well, I suppose a team could do it.

Never get someone you dont know and havent heard of to fix your computer. I went to some no-name computer repair shop to fix my power supply, and they ended up charging me for putting in a new OS. WTF!!
