Yahoo's 1 GB of Mail Storage

Recommended Posts

See this :D

Hmmm.......I can't wait for this. One gigabyte of mail storage space. That's hell a lot. Will YahooMail beat GMail by this? It could be I think. Yahoomail, at the present is more popular than GMail, besides GMail already got a bad reputation among some people. At the future, there might be a mail server which offers 40 gb of space. The mailing server competition is getting interesting day by day.

lol, could be. Since GMail is short of GigaMail, lol. GMail and YahooMail by far are the most popular mail server among the e-community.

Once you dedicated yourself to something, you won't leave it :) As long as it's free and offers big space, I like it.

I don't use webmail, it's rubbish. I have unlimited POP3 accounts so why bother?

I do have a GMail account however...and a Yahoo mail account but only 'cos they're free - noway I'm paying for anything.

i have 2 yahoo mail accounts and 1 gmail account. gmail is not easy to get, u can only get it by recieving invitations form existing users.

this cncnz account notifies me of replies to my gmail adress. I like gmail better than yahoo, especially if u download Gmail Notifier, its a program that alerts u if u have mail.

Gmail is better than Yahoo. Period.

Well to get an invite all you have to do is know someone with a GMail account and they will give you an invite - everone has loads to give away.

Well, you aint the only one missing Gmail. But I personally dont care, 'cause I wouldnt use it anyway. (assuming this similar to E-mail services offered by Earthlink and a million other sites?)

Thats correct. I have a Gmail account, but I never use it. That is my spam address, so if something asks for my email, I give the gmail one to 'em.

POP mail for me to. And like chickendippers I have unlimited POP3 accounts available to me as well. I did one web based account but since the company went bust its dead.

POP3 also = spam filters.

But I have activated server-side spam filtering so I don't get any through excpet through my ISP's email address - which I NEVER give out! Spam bots must have got it off the WHOIS register.

I have 50 Gmail invites if anyone wants one. Gmail is indeed 2Gb and I was under the impression it stood for Google-Mail.

I read an e-mail, act on it, delete it - no need for storage. But it's cool to have a GMail account just for the hell of it, it's a very good e-mail system more flexible than Yahoo and Hotmail.

I've had a chance to check out how Gmail works. Its damn good for web based e-mail. I was actually impressed.
