General Leang 0 Posted June 24, 2005 I bought secondhand the original Command & Conquer for both DOS and Win95 and it says that it includes Covert Operations. Does this install from the original CDs? Because if not then the CD for it must not have been included. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 24, 2005 Thought it was supposed to have a sepperate disk for CO Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted June 25, 2005 Ah not really. It was in one of those church sales, so as much as I would like to have it no great loss. Besides I think I know where I can find Covert Ops. Share this post Link to post
LawyerNinja 0 Posted June 25, 2005 lol C&C at a church.............sounds.............fun Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted June 25, 2005 Heh heh. You know that Nod is into religion, right? Passing off their own twisted brand of Christianity. And of course had it been Generals that would have been quite interesting, with the GLA obviously being modeled after Al Qaeda who are Muslim extremists. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 29, 2005 Then theres the whole crate-under-the-church thing goin on in TD and RA Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted June 29, 2005 Oh yes, I am staggered no one had passed comment on this before. Forget about the morality of being able to play as Al Qaeda, what about being rewarded for blowing up places of worship? Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 29, 2005 With either of 2 things. Full Health (can be likened to imortality) Load of Cash (can be likened to idolic worship) still it makes sense. The church was easily the strongest and biggest structure in the small European towns, so everything of value would be stored there durring war. But on the RA map 'The Hills Have Eyes' you get substantially rewarded if you can manage to destroy any of the town buildings. Their armor is extremely enhanced by the local Wizards and their spell casting. The Wizards themselves are also extremely tough to beat, their weapons rival those of the most powerful from the Soviet Arsenal, and their armor makes bridges look like paper meche' Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted June 29, 2005 Nah. It's just fun to blow up a church. Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted June 29, 2005 Hey, remember how I thought of having political opinion play a part in a future game or a mod? Similar to what you face in one of China's mission, depending on what you do world opinion would change depending on what you do. This would be a classic example, especially if facing the religious zealots of Nod or the twisted Islam of the renamed GLA. The enemy garrisons a church, you blow it up and opinion plummets, but even using a flashbang or combat drop would do damage. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 30, 2005 Considering a garrisoned Church in the 1st place as an issue.......blast it anyway. The building aint important. Share this post Link to post
