GLA CAPTURES ANOTHER ARMYS dozer question

i PLAY AS STEALTH, AND i ALWAYS CAPTURE A DOZER, BUILD COMMAND CENTER.......HOW COME i DONT GET THE NEW ARMYS GENERAL UPGRADES?

Cos you started as GLA so you have GLA gen powers.... You also cant make a partical cannon if using pro rules as you have to START as the swg.

Exactly what Madbadger said: If you are playing as the G.L.A.'s Stealth General, and you steal a Chinese or U.S.A. Dozer, you can only build their respective units and structures. You can only have your own generals powers. Don't you think it would be kind of unfair if you were able to unload an Anthrax Bomb and a Massive Ordanence Air Burst at the same time? It's all about balance issues here.

 

Welcome to the forums by the way, but do us all a favour and please lay off the caps.

Even if you could use their powers, you wouldnt acumulate enough Generals points to be able to use them and your own as well

unless its an art of defense map. an aod map is a map where a cpu has tons of units (usually 100 - 1,000) and your job is to not let them through to the other side or just wipe them out :wink:

yes exactly like china mission #4 but more units with more armor, and firepower.

 

theres this one map where you have to destroy 10 almost invincible overlords. its freakin hard. the most ive destroyed was 3. still fun to see your base get raped :lol:

 

i cant exactly remember the mission since its 5 am, but i'll have to agree

the only way iv seen for you to get multiple army gen powers is if your ally quits and you gain control of both armies

errr wtf dude? you cant do that. if your gla you stay gla gen powers ect ect.... although with gla i have noticed an exeption. if you are stealth gen for example and you have no comand center but have rebel ambush and you capture/get a toxin comand center (as your tox allys quit) you get tox troops instead of stealth gens troops.... odd i know.

iv never seen it online before but once while playing on lan my ally left leaving me with his base and whenever i hade one of his armies units selected i was given access to his generals powers. im not sure if it was a bug or something because it was an unpatched zero hour but i sware it happened. I was shocked when i saw i could do it but it didnt really give me any advantage because it was still 2v1

 

also i dont really care if you dont beleive me because i was there and i know what happened and your entitled to your own beleifs

:lol: Mate we didn't say we didn't believe you. It could have very well have happened, as you said, it was an unpatched version of ZH. :wink:

when my ally left it automaticly gave me control of his base. While i had one of his units selected i went to buy a new generals power and relised the generals power list were all the air force generals and none of the nuke generals. and the list would change depending on what armies unit i had selected either my nuke general army or his air force general army
