Rusty Le Cyborg 0 Posted September 1, 2005 Hello there Just re-discovered the C&C and RA games in my cupboard and thought I'd try and relive some of the fun from <ahem> a few years ago... (and I was old then!) Used to have all things Westwood, kind of gave up in the EA years... Even helped on a few mods for RA and beta-tested Sole Survivor <cough> (which I actually liked a lot) Game nick was "RG500" back then... Here's a question for anyone that knows... The Reborn mod for Renegade. Is this the one that used to have a cool "flash" type site and a download which had original music by Frank Klepacki? Or did I dream all of this? I read on these forums that Reborn was not a good mod and that it is being remade by another team, but what happened to that music? Does anyone know? BTW - Is there a file repository out there for C&C related stuff? I seem to have dicovered about 4 or 5 CDs crammed full of zipped mods and the like for most of the early versions. The Reborn site to my knowledge has always been in HTML. The original site never had any music... We have a good couple of gigabytes of stuff... Not played online for quite some time. <edit> Hey C&C King - thanks for that. I shall take a peek at the files section. I was really asking to see if I may have something that isn't up there About the Reborn thing. I definitely didn't dream that, though it is possibly not a Renegade mod. It might not even be called Reborn!! It was a mod/conversion for one fo the C&C games which had two download links - one without the music pack and one with. It was an extra 50-80 megs or something. Umm.... I can't be the only one who remembers this and it definitely wasn't an official expansion. Maybe I should email Frank - he would know I guess! </edit> One thing I thought about recently is how we all used to use batch files and the like to install and run new expansions for C&C and RA. With HD space becoming so cheap these days it would be just as easy to use MiniRA or something similar and install all of your favourite mods in different directories. Hmm.. I downloaded a 260meg file from CnC Source earlier which has a file called "install.mp3" which is apparently a track called Lone Troop? by Frank. Does anyone have this 143 meg file? Guest MadBadger Posted September 10, 2005 it maybe the fact its 6:30 and i been up 24 hours but . isnt a comma or a period its a full stop ' is a period init? , is a comma init? or its the other way around all i know is that rustys 143,34 MEG dont look right when he says its a 143 file..... it does say 274 hits.... couldnt it bee 274 songs taking up 143,34 MB? Not too exciting, but it keeps me off the streets.... More information soon. Unless I get fed up! <edit> By the way.... the name thing isn't THAT exciting I used it previously playing Counterstrike (HL) - The Cyborg is my favourite character from a boardgame called Talisman... I am a little older than your average gamer, so I added Rusty... and I used to play on a Belgian server quite a bit, so I added the "LE" part as a bit of a joke and I have stuck with it.
