I don't know if this has been a topic before, I searched alittle and didn't find it so...

 

What of the 3 major new game systems would you buy and why? (Ignore the price on them, just say some guy came up to you and handed you these and said, "You can only have one."

I would pick the Xbox 360 or the PS3, I still can't decide....

I'm with luk3us on this one... hell PS3 plays PC games and is a whole lot more powerful than the X-Box, plus I can interface it with my PSP.... PS3 is the hands down winner in my book!

I'm not sure about that. Though the main reason why I'd get a PS3 over a Xbox is cause of the games. There are lots of better games on PS2 than Xbox, so I'd expect that trend to continue with the PS3....

 

Besides the PS3 will have MGS4... So thats enough for me.

I'd of course take the PS3. The Xbox is basically a computer, and what's the point of having an Xbox when you've already got a good computer that can play DVD movies and top-of-the-line games? :roll: As for the Nintendo...who cares?

While we are on the subject of consoles, I like looking at the fake concept pictures that have been floating around the internet saying this is what the Xbox 360 or PS3 will look like....

Xbox 360 gets released for American markets this November/December. With Europe following Feb/March 2006. No dates for NZ yet but maybe around June/July 2006.

 

As for the PS3, last I heard was Sony haven't said anything about a release date. And I recall reading a story that Sony may hold back the PS3 release to early 2007.

 

All of these details are subject to change of course.

The UK is taking pre-orders now, so the X-box 360 is expected to get a mid November release here.. Since Need For Speed: Most Wanted will be one of the launch titles for the system...

They have lost a hell of a lot of profits as it is.... It has only been Europe that has really cut those losses with the PSP... Christmas should change that though... and once a PS3 date is more in the confirmed stages, stocks will rise again...

I like the Xbox 360 and the Revolution.

 

The revolution controller is unique, it has sensors, so maybe they can put a SW lightsaber game out for it. If they do...i so wanna get it...

Well it isn't all bad.. At least if Xbox 360's start blowing up in Europe and the States, its pretty much gurrantetted the problem will be fixed by the time it reaches our shores..
