Cute little stupid doggy.....virus

Recommended Posts

stupiddog3mt.jpg

I have some problem here with virus and trojan. But this doggy virus is beginning to annoy me, this virus can't be detected by my updated norton, so I don't know how to get id of it. The dog always shows up whenever I open Task Manager and windows startup.

This is surely not an ms office assistant, I've checked the assistants and I see none of them look like this dog. What I know is, since this dog first appeared a month ago, my windows begins to work not properly. The explorer bar sometimes missing, windows explorer often hide itself so I need to put it manually on the desktop, and some other minor problem. Not a big problem, buit pretty annoying.

If anyone know what's the name of this virus and how to get rid of it please tell me.

And for the trojan, I have one which will automatically shows a articles about HIV, War, and Green House effect. Same with above, not a major virus but it disturb my removable device drive such as the usb and floppy disk. I've found some files which related to this trojan and deleted them but it didn't work, it seems the mother is hiding elsewhere.

I don't know when norton will make the antivirus for these :(

Oh how I hate that little dog. It's actually Windows XP's Search doggy, ya know, the one where you wanna search for something on your 'puter?

Oh yeah lol, I forgot that WinXP has a search assistant  But then, why that dog appear in such time when I'm not searching something...hmmm.....I dunno if this is because of my registry modification or a virus.

could be jumping to conclusions here guys. XP may be running a process it shouldn't be. I'm sure J_fire you've been complaining of problems when playing about with the system registry and settings before...

Either that or it's one hell of an annoying bug in XP.

As I always say the easiest way to elimate problems is to simply. FORMAT. ;)

Besides you should regulary format your disc to clean it from improper unistalls and the like. ;)

That actually is an Office Assistant. You can choose from the Clip, a cat, dog (seen above), a robot, einstein, the Office logo, and others.

Dunno, my reccommendation is to uninstall Office, and then reinstall it.

Meh, I went into an apple computer store, and asked if they had appleworks 6 for A windows XP. He laughed out loud and said, "you think appleworks would work on XP? Windows programs don't even work on XP!"

Well, sort of, he's using XP, and his crap is falling apart, so this is just a little joke to go with it.
