Oh No your running ZoneAlarm..... best thing I did for my PC was removing that annoying program.

Comodo Firewall is very impressive and free http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com

 

Once you tell ZA to allow what it should, it's great. I'll check out Comodo though.

I've never had any trouble or annoyances with Zone Alarm, although the constant alerts were annoying back when I didnt have admin rights to shut them off. But once said and done, it quietly manages itself in the backround quite satisfactorily.

Let me point you to our September 2005 C&C10 interview with Adam Isgreen (currently at Petroglyph) on the subject of the 2 C&C universes.

 

They (were) always planned to be one continuous universe! Someday maybe I'll have the gumption to explain how they tied back into each other. It was pretty cool, if I do say so myself. Yuri fit and everything!

The key word in his answer is planned, I guess EA have different plans now because Mike Verdu has already stated they aren't ready to merge the 2 universes just yet.

In dealing with C&C timeline, you have one problem -- the timeline split...

 

It was:

 

Red Alert

C&C TD

Renegade

C&C TS / FS

C&C 3

|---> Red Alert 2 / Yuri's --> ???

---> C&C (4) --> ???

 

Now as to just WHAT was going to happen in C&C3 to split the timeline... well that's all just fantasy speculation now. The RA2 disconnect was completely explained by the event as well, and it all ties back into the origin of the entire C&C universe and RA's inciting incident.

 

So that's the timeline. RA2 didn't happen initially, so the dates would be off. Just like Einstein removed Hitler, someone changed the past yet again, resulting in the RA2 universe / split before TS could happen in the first place.

Everyone read Adam's posts in that thread on Petroglyph's forums, it shows you how deep the C&C back story is.... I mean what could have been. We don't know how much of the planned story EA will use.
