Top 10 Ultra-Violent Video Games of 2005

Recommended Posts

Im surprised Quake four didnt make the list as its one of the most violent games ive ever played. Its also bit odd that all but one game is for the PS2 mabey they didnt bring PC games into consideration for some reason.

I had a look at Resident Evil, they catagorise every single act that is considered offensive, as though they were the Parents Television Commitee or Marge Simpson. One thing they left out however was rape. Yes, rape. One scene was edited and cut in the German version because it alluded to rape. While I see the value in it I can just see Jack Thompson wiggling with glee at all the targets he can go after whether or not he can ban The Sims because EA works with child molesters to make their fantasies come to life.

Well RE4 is pretty violent, I mean some of the exection scenes are really nasty. Gotta love the old chainsaw dude though, he just rocks! :D

Hmm.. I thought a few other games would have made that list... Guess they haven't played all the damn nasty games yet.. :D

Resident Evil is violence incarnate. I took it in for a psychological study we were doing on imitated violence.

I thought the Star Wars games got a bit violent at times, but nothing like GTA and God of War.

Yeah... there's nothing like running down a street with a katana and cutting the head off a random pedestrian
