Combat Chinooks are a godsend, they are one of the most tacitcally flexikle units in ZH.

Never leave stealth fighters out of your plans the fact Granger gets them for free is easily his best addvantage.

Stealthed Commanches can get around strike and retreat very well.

Keep your planes in the air at all times stick em on Guard at the rear of your base.

Keep the planes in teams. If your also using ground units name the ground unit teams 1,2,3 ect and your plane teams 0,9,8,7 ect This just helps keep the 2 forces seperate so you dont select a plane team instead of a ground team.

If Vs another air gen lay your airfields facing the other direction to them (the planes take off in the wrong direction and have to turn around to go to the enemy) This helps if the enemy attacked your airfield as your King Raptors if landed use there Point defence and will prevent the airfield from being destroyed.

Alternatly if this is happeing to you force fire on the ground at the far end of the runway, the missiles should be out of range of the landed planes point defence and as there is a general inaccuracy firing at the ground most missiles will hit the end of the runway causing damage or splash damage will kill the airfield.

try to keep at least 1 avenger at the end of each runway to avoid above tactic.

Hummers with 3 rocket men inside will be your only ground strike force accompany every 3 hummers with 1 medic to prolong there life.

Chinnoks with Tomahawk launchers in are a very good hit and run force.

3 chinnoks with 6 tomahawks (2 per chopper) can easily take out a war factory or strat center ect with a few volleys and then be away before the enemy can respond.

Ok thanks that helps, is there a good base building order to go with? Should i focus on an airstrip over a warfactory?

Also, whats the best counter to an anti-air/tank force?

Vs tanks 1 raptor then missile defenders

Vs AA...... Go Hummers :D

Its up to you on LARGE maps make an air first and scout out oils ect and kill there inf near them to hamper there money making make a war eventualy as you can use hummers for quick raids or defending your base for small attack forces (inf and heros realy killing rebel ambushes and sneak attacks). On small maps make War and hummers after 10 min or if your ok for cash make a Air.

Airfields only cost $800 over the war factorys $2000, so you should build two before building a war factory IMO.

Dont forget to stuff your airfeilds too, use one to build 4 raptors, the other for upgrades, then load the other with stealth/auroras/wahtever

Key ratpors teams of 1, King Raptors kill tanks in one pass, good for thinning out approaching enemy columns

Lol when i play Lee i know just to go AA.

You shouldnt only go AA

cause then the Armed Humvees and troops come blasting in

which reminds me, for those of you who actually like playing as the US, heres a little piece of info

Use search and destroy battle plan, lay spy drones all around your base, and keep patriot missiles within tommahawk distance of each other (preferable slightly closer)

"why do this?" you say. Well heres why. The linked Patriot missiles with search and destroy + spy drones have longer range than artillery. Tomahwks, Scuds, Inferno cannons, nuke cannons, you name it, they out range it. And unless your opponent is using Search and Destroy your Patriot missiles will be firing on his/her aircraft before they can release any munitions.

Aurora is GOD! in most situations due to their invincibility before their attack plus can take out most any AA structures with 2 hits or attack wit h2 planes whatever and the KR is incredibly versitile

Then 3 gat tanks pwn your entire airforce

I suggest uping the AI level to Brutal next time you play

I used to think the airforce was amazing (in game, RL it pwns all) until I played GeneralZ. Then I found out just how good gat tanks are against EVERYTHING THAT FLIES. Even KRs. Even Auroras. You may get your shot off, but your plane wont die, and I garuntee whatever you killed is cheaper then the monentary value of the auroras you lost.

now against the AI, you can win with 4 Comanches (Ive done it against mediums)

Regardless of all that, KR's are a b!tch to fight against, so carroy on, Commander! 8)

Now dont forget that Lee dosnt play online games so him buying 2 airs online before geting a war makes him too slow at making hummers. If his enemy goes AA then by the time hes making hummers his base will have been invaded by gats ;)

but it does depend...... some times you can risk it and go air all the way and win.

against human oponents nail Power plants first. Losing your radar is one of the worst things that can happen early in a game before your defences are set up. also it virtualy stops their production line so you can quite easily nail 1 gat and have 2 more raptors ready before a new one is made.

Nailing power plants is a huge bummer but the same can be said for nailing dozers. at $1000 each thats alot of cash and most players sell there CC for the extra $1000 at the begining. so norm your enemy only has 2-3 dozers if they have no CC. It is well worth sacrificing 1 $1100 raptor for a dozer.

Also on maps with oil dericks ALWAYS make sure your enemy isnt caping them..... the $1000 'welcome' cash is a huge advantage at the begining of a game. Ive lost most my base & dozers but had a few baracks and a power left, I caped a few oils and had enough cash to build an inf force that i then won with (i was vanila USA as well :P )

Hell sacrifice 2-3 to nail the dozers. (dont sacrifice loads of raptors unless you know your enemy is low on power, hasnt got anymore dozers and doesnt have a huge army)

obviously im not going to reveal all  some i like to keep to myself.

My tactics for inf rush, preventing the same inf rush and geting past the prevention ect ect ect are my most guarded tactics :P

 People actually sell their Command Centers for a mere $1000?

Yes they do. But when playing with Granger that is stupid. Planes need to see something to attack it and moving them into an area would just get them killed before they can even fire.

Playing GLA selling your CC is a good way to surprise the enemy because you can easy start somewhere they don't expect you

apparently, GLA HQ serve less...

you can sell for mere additional $1000.

but utilise the GLA 200%...

suprisingly, GLA is difficult to deal with...especially when you have some trick in your pocket...

I've never seen it as surprising that the GLA are difficult to deal with. The only surprise is that tunnel and those quads in the bakc of your base right now

I find Granger is best suited to facing other US Generals (not Townes though)

Against China or GLA, I prefer to be China or GLA (doenst matter which Gen, as long as its not Inf)

Back to the command centres, its good if u sell ur command centre and then rebuild a fake one in the same place. Build a completely fake base in ur original starting position except for maybe an arms dealer where u should despense quad cannons and stuff. Then guard it with 2 stinger sites and a tunnel or so.

After this go build in a completely irrelevant position, hopefully not in the enemy's route to ur old base. Its good to see them send their whole force against just a few stingers, few quads and a fake base. Thats when u make ur move.

Oh and, when playing as US AF against China, please, for the love of god, stay away from the gattling tanks and cannons. this goes for avengers, laser defence turrets, mini-gunners and quad cannons. Use auroras to take care of gattling cannons and stealth fighters/pathfinder for the others.

GLA builds kinda slow though... Second: China/USA both have tactics to counter that. USA can use "Intelligence" and China can use "Satellite Hack I/II".

That an no Tank general worth his Stars and Bars would give you enough time to do all of that.

But you never know.

A tank general can get about 100 tanks in 10 minutes if enough supplies are available.

well, I keep my personal tank in the garage, cause its not legal to own a battletank with live amunition

true enough, I think the tank general is one of the better/best blitz generals.
