Guest MadBadger Posted June 24, 2006 Excuse me Marine the US wasn't interested in the P-51 and gave us them as slow heavy armed ground attack planes We suped them up and showed you Yanks how to really fly them. THEN you used them.... (you added the merin later when making roller engines and shiping them over to you became too stupid ) Share this post Link to post
(ha) crazy 0 Posted June 24, 2006 we ddidn't even think of it. from a book i have about most ww2 aircraft development: in april 1940 the british air purchasing commission concluded with "Dutch" kindelberger, chairman of north american aviation, an agreement for a completely new fighter for theRAF. so it was origionally made for the british but us "yanks" as you call us brought it into fame because of all the aces it made. to be exact 285 aces the highest number in fighter history Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted June 24, 2006 well your origional post didnt say much. a bit more now you edited it Even though your quote doesnt say much if i am to beleive your interpretation of it your just supporting badgers argument. Obviously the US are going to trial them to see if their effective even if they are for the RAF as they are US made. Share this post Link to post

(ha) crazy 0 Posted June 25, 2006 um... okay BF 110 was a crucial part of the German Blitzkrieg. After the Battle of Britain it proved a useful nightfighter. what i ment as that ANY single engined fighter ccould pwn it in a 1-1 combat now the me/bf109 that was good in the beginning of the war but the b.o.b showed one MAJOR defficency with it... that is the lack of feul Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 25, 2006 Mostly because the USAAF and the RAF blew the German airfields to Bob's golf course and not quite back. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted June 25, 2006 I knew that >_> 'Bob' is used on this forum in place of 'God' or 'Allah' ar 'YWH' (pronounced Ya-way) 'Budah' or any other deity. Bob is universal, loves all, and lives in a pickle jar. Keeps things simple, for conversationalism's sake. Share this post Link to post

Yahweh is spelled YHWH, if you want to exclude the vowels  Also, Buddah is spelled with another D. But you did get Bob straight. Everyone can appreciate Bob Share this post Link to post
