Partition software

Recommended Posts

Recently accquired a 160 GB hard drive, anyway, I need to set up a few seperate drives on it. Problem is I don't have any software to do it, and I'm not starting from scratch.

So anyone have any suggestions?

Try PowerQuest PartitionMagic, trust me, this one is the best in partitioning. Simple, fast, and secure. Don't try the freakin norton ghost.

Yeah, Partition Magic is the best I've seen.

I think Norton Ghost has a little partition tool as well. If you want to use that.

Actually, iirc, Ghost is an archival tool. It creates an image of your drive but I'm not sure about a partioning tool. I ought to know, I have it ffs.

Have you connected the 160GB hard drive to your computer?

Set the jumper on the back as a slave, connect it to the same IDE cable as your current hard drive and you should be set to go.
