He can be useful if you put bombs on Conscripts and put them in a Flak Track. Deploy or let it be destroyed and KABOOM! Ivan does have his uses.

Every infantry has his uses. Like Fenring said, different situations for different infantry.

although, Cosmonaughts do have longer range than rockies.

1 flak cannon, if left alone, can and will devastate a rocky rush. If you have 20-30 rockies with more flying in as you train them, the flak cannon can be brought down quite quickly.

If they get 2 up, then you are sunk.

meh, a half dozen IFVs generally, if kept moving and scattered, are sufficient to dfeal with all but the largest of rockie swarms...really no more then pests IMHO.

Now, a SEAL with an IVF...that is a threat to take serious. :D

Am I the only one that thinks IFVs with infantry inside are useless?

I mean, only with a SEAL or engy they're effective. Otherwise you could also juts have built tanks o' somethin'.

The best IFV is, in my opinion, empty and elite.

But for infantry, yeah chrono leg's are VERY effective.

and Ivan IFVs are not readily available.

The IFV speeds plus its capability makes it one of the most versatile units ever put into the RA series.

Exactly!

The only better unit than it is the heavy tank-Mammoth,APOC,Emperor etc.

IFV ish vehicles can pwn Mammoth class tanks with hit and run.

But one salvo from the Mammy Class and the IFVs are gone.

Nothing like a wall of 50 Mammoth/Apoc/Emeror tanks rushing at you, eh? 8)

Does anyone ever have 50 Apocalypse tanks? By the time you have 50 of those, I'll have 100 Mirage Tanks or Rhino Tanks, or 10 MasterMinds. Either of those would own the **** out of 50 Apocs.

Not to mention, do games ever last that long?

When you're done being cynical

yes they do occasionally, depending on which n00bs you play against.

Whenever games do get that long, they dont end.

No tank can stand against Mirage tanks, unless that tank happens to be a flying one.

Well, there are a few tactics to destroy such a rush:

1.Kirovs

2.Siege choppers

3.Flak track full of desolators, sent to the the rush and upon destruction deployed...

4.Deployed desolators everywhere the Mirages might go through...

5.300 Rhino tanks.
