Old C&C3 Screens?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone fill me in on the full story behind these?

I assume they are now obsolete, but damn, if they were c3s green zones, then sweet!

The GUI that goes with this looks interesting, I hope its similar to RA2s. IMHO, the sidebar was the best thing from RA2.

This was indeed the Westwood C&C 3. However EA have taken the existing code and have used some of it in the new C&C 3. Alot of the concepts and such are being considered for this new C&C, but one thing remains true, the storyline is remaining pretty much the same as Westwood wanted it. Louis Castle is making sure of this!

Most presumably these pictures were from the Safe "Green" Zones. If anything EA have actually made the game alot more futuristic than the Westwood counterpart.

Hmm, though Tiberian Sun had a very 'apocalyptic' feel to it. Everything was rundown and overrun by Tiberium. I'm presuming we never saw a green zone in that game.

If it was done on the SAGE engine wouldnt it have just been easier importing gen stuff than skining new sandbags? Thou if they are using an upped version of SAGE im betting we haven't seen an actual image from the new engine yet ;)

I dont think there were any Green Zones in the TS worlds

Maybe the tacitus has unlocked the ability to reverse the Tiberium overspread, thus green zones being made. It fits in with how ea are saying GDI are trying to convert more and more of the earth in Green zones.

Anyone find it slightly ironic that the healthy zones are green/blue zones - the same color as Tib?

I rather liked the whole apocalyptic feel of TS.

I hope C&C 3, isn't filled with shopping malls and soccer moms... :(

Dont get me wrong, that look is great, but a bit of diversity is good.

C&C 3 will be a standard RTS game, it will not involve any 1st or 3rd Person views, although it's certainly possible they may extend the camera views.

Green zones are where Tiberium does not live. This is where GDI have either managed to elimainate Tiberium infection, or it's closer to to the polls and desert region where Tiberium Cannot survive.

Other zones from Blue to red indicate the level of Tiberium Infection. Red being unhinhabitable areas.

One thing that bugs me is that EA could of made a new engine by now and put C&C 3 on it, but oh well. :?

I disagree, the SAGE engine is the perfect platform. EA are simply doing what Valve are doing with their Source engine.

The version of the SAGE engine that will power C&C3 will be very different to the one you have seen in Generals.

Its an okay one... But really, with the time they've had... They could of made a great new engine...

(Also, the source engine needs to go away already... :P)
