It's hilarious how some posters in this thread blame "liberals" for lax enforcement of US immigration law. Of course, you won't hear them mention the fact that between 1999 and 2003, INS raids on work-sites were scaled back by 95 percent. Or that 182 companies were prosecuted in 1999 for employing illegals, and only 4 in 2003. You won't hear them say that 417 companies had fines levied against them for immigration offences in 1999, and only 3 in 2003.

Yet another example of how BWare, the robot republican, bitches about nothing.

Yet another example of the willfully ignorant thinking they know everything

@-Shoker--I dont see us blaming Liberals for the lax enforcement, I see myself and BWare blaming Liberals for the constant bickering that goes on at Capitol Hill, and Liberals who give a bad name to everything, mostly without a better reason than "he cant talk!" or "he's republican" or "down with war" ect ect.

In case you were wondering, once a party is in office, that does mean they have total control. That would be a dictatorship. Just because person A is a Democrat and person B is republican, and the republicans have the house majority, does NOT mean that person A cant say/do anything. In fact, all the person A's out there do a pretty good job of slowing things down and wanting to pass stupid bills that compromise Military security or bills that hinder military and law enforcement personel from efficiently carrying out their jobs.

Tree, you are a moron. You obviously, in your own vapid stupidity, have nothing to add to the debate besides calling me a "robot republican" (cute alliteration ), which I clearly am not. I'm a strong conservative, and am largely disgusted with the current republican leadership. Only a fool like you could confuse a conservative with a "robot republican." If you have a problem with what I'm saying, how about CONTRIBUTING to the debate by adding a thoughtful counter or point yourself, hm? Am I really asking too much?

So with this little bit or research here, you have proved... what? Yes, the current administration is falling behind in prosecuting companies. Granted. I'm disgusted with it myself (unlike a "robot republican"). But have you done what you CLAIM you did? That is, that liberals are somehow not to blame? Tell me what it is exactly that the liberal party has done to address this issue. I'm all ears

Besides some lazy, thickheaded ad hominum attacks and a few clumsy statistics, nothing has really been said between our clever friend tree and shocker here. Everything I said before still stands unchallenged.... way to address the issues guys

Hahahaha... yes, good point. I guess there was that one press conference where Chuck Schumer said "ya, denying illegal immigration is, like, gay and stuff."

I know. I saw that one. I couldn't believe he could be so eloquent. :haha:

However, there's one thing liberals forget when they go on about denying freedom and rights. Well, what about the rights of the legal citizens who these dangerous illegals trample all over? They all forget that part.

Indeed they do. And they refuse to realise that as citizens of the United States, Liberals, Conservatives, whomever all still bear the taxes that not only run this country, but the the taxes that are playing for the 12 million + illegal immigrants in the US and their "services".

It's a bizarre thing about the liberal mindset... they tend to want to protect the law breakers over the law-abiding citizens, the criminals over the victims, and even our enemies over America in many cases. It's a very, very strange thing...

Revolution!

Errrr, yes. :)

Errrr, no :?

Why not? I think getting rid of corrupt and moronic politicians wouldn't be a bad thing. But then again, America wouldn't have the same charm to it. :P

Look what happened to France.

Thats why we dont have revolutions. They are bad. Plus with 300 million person population, the worlds strongest military and one of the worlds strongest economies (strongest by dollar amount, but not per capita) a revolution would be bad. And for what? We want to get rid of the people in office, but not change the government type? Thats a recipe for disaster. Plus it will affect how people view Democracy across the globe, and maybe even turn some back towards Communism (gasp).

I think we are doing fine. Or as fine as can be expected with humans in charge of anything ( :P )

(no that was not a stint against mankind in general, jsut against our greedy nature)
