downloading piracy

i read this article and found it to be rather interesting, it say that TV Piracy is now really big and it is becoming a problem. http://www.tv.com/jericho/show/58068/story...ry_list;title;1

 

i agree with the TV industry, but i also disagree i fell for places such as New Zealand etc, we get cut short we don't get these TV show until long after they are canceled, in order for this form of Piracy to be stoped they will need to relice them realitively close to each other, because it sucks having to wait 6-12 months just to watch the show, then finding it got canceled. we are still behind in the Simpson's by a season. what are you guys point of view on this?

so far every TV show i have d/led i have bought the DVD box set when it was released, Firefly, Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG1, Scrubs, The Simpsons, The X Files, Family Guy. i put money into these shows and i don't see a problem in my d/ling. i am waiting for Jericho to complete it's first season so i can buy it on DVD to get Pure digital quality, so if they would release the show in New Zealand then i would happily stop d/ling it but maybe in 1-2 years time it might grace our television networks, but by then it will be on DVD so why should i have to wait, i know i will buy it when it is on DVD.

Its not the producers fault its the NZ television networks. We're up to date with the simpsons and Jericho. I think we are actually ahead of the US with jericho because each episode is released on the same date around the world and because of timezones we get it first.

i know i just don't see a problem with me d/ling Jericho because i will buy it when it comes out on dvd and if they did an ost i would buy it because the music in Jericho rules.

Perhaps, but you do realise that everytime you download something like a albumn or a movie, that the industry loses money. And with out money, those prutty movies and albums don't get produced.

i my case i consider it sensible piracy i have never d/led a game i pay money straight away if i want to play the game, for TV i wil d/l it if i cant watch it due to TVNZ. and movies i d/l the odd one and then buy it anyway or god watch it at the movies if i like it. Cams are rubbish
