Luk3us 63 Posted October 14, 2006 http://media.pc.ign.com/media/823/823989/imgs_1.html The juggernaut looks like its just firing with out deploying... Hmm.. I hope they don't leave it like that. Also, the Nod Mech looks funky, kinda reminds me of the Core Defender... The Oblesik of light looks nice too. Share this post Link to post
Mario 0 Posted October 14, 2006 looks pretty awesome love the look of the tanks and Orca's Share this post Link to post

cnc_sage 0 Posted October 14, 2006 Artillery at close range? wtf? At least now it's more dark and gloomy. The Zone trooper's railguns look as though they're distorting reality... or maybe it's just the heat. And those are not Orcas, they're Nod's Venom Scout VTOL. Share this post Link to post

BWare 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Wow... those are beautiful. It looks so dark and apocalyptic now... EXACTLY like TS did! YES! Thank you for the shift in tone there EA! I can't wait to play this. It looks amazing. The only things I still have to gripe about are the lack of ANY emphasis on mutation (still waiting on that), the complete overhaul and dumbing down of the Tiberium concept, and the related change of Tiberium from quasi-biotic to just plain, boring, radioactive crystal. But the list is definitely shrinking . This is slowly looking more and more like the TT I envisioned . Share this post Link to post

But the list is definitely shrinking . This is slowly looking more and more like the TT I envisioned . Funny that, I'm thinking the exact opposite as you. I have my reasons for doing so mind. Probably cos I'm going through alot of my futuristic sci-fi RTS games at the moment. And the thought crosses my mind.... What the hell is new about any of this stuff!? I'm just getting my apocolyptic fix with Mechs, Aliens and whatnot at the moment by playing all 3 games of the "Earth 21**" Franchise. Well 2 of em at least. And all I can see at the moment are stark similarities Between Tiberium Wars and Earth 2160 at the moment. The difference so far is that Earth 2160 has already been released, and in many areas it's innovative, so yeah, I have my reasons. When Earth 2140 came out it was a C&C clone, now the tables have turned. So can you guys look at C&C 3 and say "Earth 2160 Clone" cos this is all C&C 3 is at best. And my view on this game is not going to change until I see a new Intellectual property come from this game. Which is as unlikely as EA taking over the RTS Kings Relic Entertainment. Look at the 3-4 screenshot, behind the war factory: there's something really similar to blossom trees there. And, anyway, those screenshots are beautiful and uber-cool to say the least. (there are still some graphic bugs, tough :? ) Share this post Link to post

BWare 0 Posted October 16, 2006 Look at the 3-4 screenshot, behind the war factory: there's something really similar to blossom trees there. I know!! I noticed the same thing, but forgot to mention it. AWESOME. Let's hope our eyes aren't playing tricks on us! King, now I am unfamiliar with the Earth series, but how can you say that they're so incredibly similar when all we've seen so far are a couple VERY early screenshots? What possible similarities could you be pulling from it? I don't mean to be a pain, but could you give some examples? I'm genuinely curious. But anyway... you can't really expect too much ingenuity from a large company . Share this post Link to post

Guest Rabbit Posted October 18, 2006 My best guess is that those symbols are the black hand... Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted October 18, 2006 Which raises the question. Are we going to have sub-faction sides controlled by different Generals for Multiplayer, like in Zero Hour!? Dunno what to make of that. I suppose, so long as it doesn't affect Single player too much it'd be OK. Share this post Link to post
comander starlin 6 Posted October 18, 2006 yea that would be a bit hard being attacked by rebel back had and gdi when playing as nod Share this post Link to post
