What Plans?

In light of this novel coming up, something struck my mind. A bit of old news from September 25th.

 

Widescreen Support:

The FMV's are being shot in HIGH-DEF and will be made into a high-resolution VP6 in the game. We have other plans for these FMV's which is also why we are shooting in HD.

 

I'm not automatically thinking "zOMG movie!!" here. I'm thinking X-Box 360 version. But what other plans do you think EA have for these FMV's? Is it just for the console market, or are they gonna use it for some other money making scheme?

That is an interesting thing to ponder... they seem to be indicating something pretty big here. They wouldn't mention some ominous "other plans" with the video if they were only referring to a console port. Could it BE a movie of sorts? Do you think they're considering, at the very least, a little straight-to-dvd movie? Considering the quality of these FMVs and the distribution power of EA, that doesn't seem out of the question or unrealistic at all. That would certainly be interesting....

that is so true, the saga would make millions at the boxoffice.

 

and i belive i have mentions the prospect's of C&C being made into a movie so many times it is not funny. i beleve me and Luk3us had a big convo about C&C being made into a movie when the RA3 Forum was up.

Well lets not forget Spielberg holds some game contracts with EA. Maybe they could inspire him towards making a C&C movie franchise. He has experience with War Movies, it might just work ya know. :wink:

Anyway, if a movie were to made I'd still go see it. Specially if its got Kane in it. I mean. KANE! He sells its by himself!

As long as you acknowledge that the movies are only very very loosey based on games. You'll be fine...

 

Resident Evil 1 was kinda crap though. RE2 was only good cause of Jill Valentine.

Halo - books, videogames, projected movie (you know it will happen)

 

C&C - games, more games, ownership changes, now theres a book.....movie? Quite possibly. Im afraid it might not come across too well though. That and its starting in the middle of the C&C story, rather that at RA1 or TD.
