I got sick of being called a n00b on Halo and decided to do an expiriment to see what exactly is an acceptable non-n00bish way of killing other Haloers. Note that these two were done in the Blood Gulch map.

 

 

First, I will list the method of killing, then the response I got from the killed. I have screenshots, but instead of posting them all, I will just type.

 

 

 

Melee only

"GET A GUN STUPID NEWBIE"

 

Overcharged plasma pistol + single Melee

"lucky newbie"

 

Plasma pistol (not overcharged)

"I was lagging"

( note that the person never stopped moving and the server's PING was around 90. )

 

Shotgun

"FUK U NOOBIE"

 

 

Sniper rifle ( from across the map )

"STOP CAMPING STUPID BITCH"

 

Sniper rifle ( about 40 feet away )

"wtf r u sniping so close for"

 

 

 

The rest are pretty similar. These are, by the way, direct quotes, I did not change the spelling nor capitalization.

 

Now time to try vehicles.

 

Banshee ( plasma guns )

Banshee ( fuel rod gun )

I never got a response out of using anything on Warthogs in this game except for running people over, at which point a lot of people just called me different variants of the word "NOOB".

 

 

The conclusion of this expiriment:

 

There is no conclusion. People on Halo are just 5 year olds except the occasional mature playered. You're a N00B if you kill someone, which is the point of the game, so I guess leet players just sit there.

It's the same with Counter-strike. In Garry's Mod it isn't as bad, but the occasional idiot will come in and spam Huge Chimneys and ruin everyone's contraptions.

well i feel that both terms of NOOB are not cool, i got called a Noob because i won a match by 10 points in Quake, i was pissed being called that it was skill over noobishness. i just fell that guys like Croyt need to get a life and anger management. these are the guys that ruin online gaming for us.
