Luk3us 63 Posted November 12, 2006 I swear the ministry of education is run by a bunch of ****ing morons. The amount of stupid decisions that are made by them... The decision to run NCEA is a perfect example of that. Meh, it only applies to high school at least. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted November 12, 2006 And before ya know it, the next generation of Kiwi's will only communicate like this  Share this post Link to post
Dr. Rodney McKay 0 Posted November 12, 2006 Soon, we'll be able to able to do our homework entirely in image macros. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted November 12, 2006 I heard that on the news the other night. Its damn pathetic that our educators will allow this sort of crap, basically it means the next generation of New Zealanders entering the work force will be dumb lazy ****s  Share this post Link to post
comander starlin 6 Posted November 12, 2006 ok i was a in batch to go through NCEA, and it was a pain in the ass. the next year the 5th formers got it way easy and, my year got it even harder. it just sucked. the teachers didn't quite know what to teach us, and things like science and maths, were marked so crazy it made it quite hard to even get a pass. there was one english paper that only 80 people got a pass in new zealand. that was so gay. now i recon that NZ has just gone crazy we should have never let Trevor Mallard call the shots. what a dumb f***, and that NCEA B*** S*** screwed up quite alot of my education. i think that being able to use text/online jargon to pass English should never happen. and we need a change in government fast. burn in HELL Labour, i am sure the demons of HELL will enjoy kicking your ass Doom style. TheBlackOut 7 Posted November 15, 2006 How did I miss this topic?! HAHHAHAHAHA! Ex: Explain the theory of evolution. Answer: wtf is tat? lololol wtf wtf wtf? is tat were teh anemils leik upgrude there loot? Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted November 16, 2006 erm...evolution is bull****, so that would be a valid reply, but lets not go there  Wow, what kind of leaders do you have over there? Of course, it's not that much better in the US either :? Share this post Link to post
comander starlin 6 Posted November 16, 2006 if there was such a thing as evolution then the Bush family got left out. lol  oh well we have a hermaphrodite for a prime minister, and deputy who wants to kick out all immigrants. that is why i never vote for Labour and New Zealand First, i vot for National. at lest the head of that party is married to a asian, and the 2nd in charge is a down to earth bloke i have had a few beers with him every so often. TheBlackOut 7 Posted November 17, 2006 Evolution is bull****? I don't think it is, its part of the divine plan, its the answer to how, not why. Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted November 17, 2006 The answer to "how?" ...do you know how many flaws it is riddled with? here's one example: An example of a rock from the 11-year-old Mount St. Helens eruption that was sent in for K-Ar dating. It got an age of 350,000 ± 50,000 years. The minerals in the sample were dated as 2.8 million years old. Since it is known that these samples were only a few years old, these results are clearly wrong. If they're so far off with an 11-year-old rock, then can you imagine a 1,000-year-old rock being dated? This blows all the "x-billion year old" earth **** out the window, which in turn, screws up the whole theory of evolution. If you need more examples, I'll look them up when I get home :| Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted November 17, 2006 There are pretty valid points on both sides, to be totally honest. But back to the topic... lol. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted November 17, 2006 They don't just use K testing for evolutionary theory. Note the fact that they also check the layers of dirt, motion patterns of plates in the grounds, and about a hundred other things before they come to an accurate conclusion. It doesn't blow **** out the window. Plus, you've just stated ONE example. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted November 17, 2006 Plus the example had flaws. Like Bware said there are valid points for both sides but that aint really one of them. The rock would have only been formed for 11 years but the majority of the makup of the rock comes from the magma underneath the tectonic plates. Back on topic i wonder what the NZ universities think of all this. Share this post Link to post
