Bringing the Community Together...

Recommended Posts

Just like on the EA Forums, replies in the PCNC Forums found here http://www.forumplanet.com/planetcnc/topic...amp;tid=1997134 are just as I expected:

Obviously he has been brainwashed by the evil, evil goons at EA. Pay no attention to what he says! Hate is good. Hate sustains the community! Ignorance is strength. War is peace. 2+2=5
You stole fifteen minutes of my life and I want them back!

~shakes fist~

Typical negative, shoot down and **** on everything replies

The planetC&C forum.

I'm wondering whether or not that guy was sarcastic though.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not trying to be confrontational King or making any attempt to personally attack you or anyone. Re-reading my post the next day, I worried that it could be taken that way. So before any flames come my way - I wanted to make that clear.

I am pessimistic about the chances of the podcast being effective, but I salute Zee for getting off his arse and at least trying to do something.

Apathy is something I despise.

I agree with you and I agree what Zee Hypnotist is saying, but my views aren't negative they're "realist". There is a huge difference between the two. You just need to see those comments that Sonic posted concerning the PCNC forums. You are simply never going to get compliance out of these people!

This is why I will not waste my time going to war with them over their sheer heavy sarcasm and hatred within their beliefs. That is my point here. If I didn't agree with anything in that Podcast I'd be shooting down everything and ramming my opinion about it down Zee's throat. The fact is, I'm not. I'm just stating the clear fact that you're never gonna get brotherly love outta everyone, you need to respect that.

These forums or the people here are not the problem anyway. We get a few who like to be a bit heavy, myself included. But take a look at the official forums, PCNC, CnC Den, it's full of those people who you will never get to respect the work trying to be done here. I believe we have the strongest and well bound forums in the community and so long as we can keep that going, Sonic and I, as well as the moderators are doing our bit.

It's the webmasters around the other community sites that really need to get their members into line. Not us.... Enough said.

that is what makes this podcast so good it gives us the chance to spread it to the outer community, make them open there eyes and see it isn't all that bad and if you have been reading the other forums where Zee Hypnotist and I have been posting we have have been getting good and bad response's, so that is not a lost cause it is a good start you start slowly until we get to a of motion then after a while we are going like a steam train flying along the track to it's final destination. So to help these others then we should just keep doing what we are doing and lead the way, and help make the Command & Conquer community a better place.

The problems extend much wider than the negative bashing of C&C 3 and EA. This community is now full people from other sites, be they staff of these sites or forum loyalists who are no longer trying to work together anymore.

How many times over the years have we seen the so called latest and greatest site join the community, claiming to do things different, claiming to shake things up. Some recent examples are http://www.cnc-i.net/ and http://www.cncuniverse.net/, both sites look dead today. Plus these sites are being run by what appears to people who did nothing other than criticize C&C 3 and EA. I hope Predator never extend invitations to the Community Summit to these sorts of sites.

Trust me, this community has changed, it will never change back. In the end the only thing that matters, from a C&C 3 perspective, it that you like it.

 a liar???? zlol man i want to hear this.......

i agree with you sonic i have seen neumerious new sites and they have all just died, and i also agree on what you said is Weather You Like it. adn that is all in the end that matters but making a community a nice place is a good goal as well, adn we do a very good job here at providing that.

by the way our topic on the EA forum is now a sticky so it will be on the main page of the C&C forum for a while.

Oh, wow, Predator actually stickied it for me.

Didn't take you many words to do that :haha:

Well, Sonic, if it has changed once, if we can't change it back (as it seems you're implying), then lets change it for the better

Now we just need to think of ways to do that; one I can think of off the top of my head is this: get the mature "n00bs" and "veterans" to at least give an example for the less mature players by not fighting and bickering among us

In case people don't visit the EA Forums, because they are slow all of the time. Predator posted this regarding the podcast. In the opening paragraph Predator explains why CNCNZ.com was invited to the summit, and another example of more anti-EA attitude, people on the on EA Forums get the impression that those who attended the summit were bribed by EA when they were given those Geforce 7900GT video cards.

Thanks for the great post aprime, but CNCNZ was invited to our summit because they are one of our top fan-sites and as such, deserved an invite. Hypnotist who came is a great guy and cares for the community.

Here is what I say, what happened in the past is the past, and whose hands this franchise is in now, well all that matters is that a great game comes out of it and so far despite the nagging little complaints that steer some people off into the hatred of oblivion against us, we're on the right track.

So I tell you what, i'm sorry you had a bad experience during the Generals MP test, times were very different back then and our development team is significantly different now that it was then. But fault as you wish, we're going to keep pressing forward making a great game and putting this community on some smooth sails.

I fully sanction this podcast and think its almost the greatest thing since sliced bread (...one of many great things), and I truly think this is something you wouldn't have seen from this community two years ago. Obviously our community leaders who have visited us, know us, and understand our passion and desire for this franchise, realize that we are being very generous and faithful to all C&C fans.

Thanks again for your post, I hope to see you on the battlefields of C&C 3 in March.

Great podcast Hypnotist, lets get you some more downloads!

This made me spit my coffee out!

CNCNZ has always played a large (sometimes not as large as others) in the community is simply undeniable, their involvement in the community and such too

*Cough* C&C 10 Celebration ring a bell!!!?? We worked our asses off to get that event up and running. This ain't an ego trip but C&C 10 was perhaps one of the biggest community events ever to happen! And it was al because I had the vision and motivation to organise it myself well before EA and the rest of the community got involved!

I think therefore that means CNCNZ.com has played the biggest ever part in the community. If it wasn't for us, The first decade compilation pack wouldn't be out! And that is unbiased fact!

OK there were a few teething problems with The First Decade, but, yeah... :haha:

Don't worry, CNCNZ.com has been accused of being "anti-community" in past on a number of occasions. I just shrug it off and move along. I don't talk about it that often but trust me guys I've taken a lot of **** over the years but I never let it get to me. Those comments by aprime are more to add to the list.
