OK we see him on the floor supposedly dead, but the time from when he dropped to the time he was shown dead was incredibly short.

 

In proper hangings you leave the body hanging for a good ten minutes to make sure the neck has snapped apart. That's the whole point in a hanging! Even if it did "snap" instantly, there is no way on earth you take a body down that quick.
