Woofna 0 Posted January 15, 2007 In the GDI mission where you must protect mobius and his civilians while Mobius sets up a lab in a tiberium infested town, I keep getting to a certain point or time in the game, and it tells me I have failed. No civilians die, Mobius is clearly fine, and it shows no timer. I've tried everything, it always happens, so I think it's a bug. Is there a patch that fixes this? Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted January 15, 2007 That honestly used to always happen to me, but it would be after like, 1 civie died. Share this post Link to post
Woofna 0 Posted January 15, 2007 Did you ever beat said mission? I know I've played it before without any civies dying, unless they're at the top of the map near the Nod base. The. Large. Nod base. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted January 15, 2007 When I recall, that's the god damn mission that would make me stop playing the game. Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted January 15, 2007 I remember this mission, i used to get so frustrated with it, but I know why it says you lose. WATCH THE CIVIS!!! Sometimes they will walk next to the tib tree and die from being covered with tib spores. Try to keep them away from the tib tree and you should be fine. Share this post Link to post
SSTG 0 Posted January 16, 2007 did'nt do that mission while playing tiberian dawn Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted January 16, 2007 I remember this mission, i used to get so frustrated with it, but I know why it says you lose. WATCH THE CIVIS!!! Sometimes they will walk next to the tib tree and die from being covered with tib spores. Try to keep them away from the tib tree and you should be fine. I quote this for truth. try and expand sandbags all the way to the village and shut the civvies off. This was the only way I felt things could be done. It worked for me, but i had to do it relatively quickly. It can be a strategical nightmare, but if you babysit this town full of Jefferson's who just don't get it, things should run through to mission accomplished Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted January 16, 2007 but if you babysit this town full of Jefferson's who just don't get it, things should run through to mission accomplished ROFL, I think that put things into CNCNZ perspective! Think I'll give that mission a try again Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted January 16, 2007 Oh thats just harsh and coming from an admin... Not cool, despite any fact that might or might not be involved. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted January 16, 2007 Oh thats just harsh and coming from an admin... I'm only human dude. After all forum rule number 6 says: ........The golden rule is the admin/moderator is always right. But then again we do have forum rule number 7: Avoid personal attacks towards other forum members. Well they cancel each other out. But I needed a comparable example! Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 102 Posted February 9, 2007 "golden rule" beats "avoid". So they don't cancel eachother out Anyway, I just sandbagged the entire village to keep the civvies away from the blossom trees & tiberium, and I put my rocket launcher around there somewhere to blow up incoming Nod chinooks (they drop off flamers in the village). After that, it was easy. And remember you can build from the hospital, since it's a player-owned building. Share this post Link to post
