what you do?

just wondering..what you guys do for a living?

i understand that some of us just student or perhaps young working adult..

 

i started work offshore 2005, when i was 21...the paycheck is ok..

and i wonder what i'll be in next 10 years...but definitely not going retired as offshore guy...

Yeah me too.

 

But I do some temp work too, like forklift driving, distribution, some data entry crap, other lame IT things from time to time. Anything to get by really.

Studying in a secondary school.

 

Might consider working in McDonalds, my friend is having alot of fun working in McDonalds.

lol McDonalds, eh better than no job, so anyways I'm just kind of applying everywhere because I need a job desperately if I want to get anything soon, a Kohls and a Best Buy and a Sports Authority are going up soon and I'm so desperate I might apply at Kohls (giant clothing store) :P

I've heard KOHLS actually pays okay.

 

Going to work with my dad off and on is enough with school. He's a masonry and works with brick, stone, etc for pools and walls.

Government pays my living costs. I get both scholarship money and living away from home/study costs money from Centerlink (Australian welfare department)

Drinker :P Nah, i'm in Year 11, or as the American's would call it, the 11th Grade. I'm what people would refere to as a goth... But i'm not, just an idividual. :)

There are a few differences between a college and a university though.

Not enough to really call it a difference. Universities have more big lecture halls... that's about it really.

Colleges usually only offer undergraduate courses and are more focused on teaching where as Universities are usually larger and focus more on research and cater for graduate courses as well as undergraduate

here college & uni almost the same. both sometimes offer diploma & degree.

 

i'm might continue my study in next 3 years time.

 

in malaysia, there's no grade thingy...so its difficult to guess your age..

 

here, standard 1 - 6 is 7 - 12 yrs. form 1 - 5 is 13 - 17yrs. lower 6 - upper 6 is 18 - 19. afterward is certs/diploma then degree.

 

mine just certs.

I'm studying at polytech in film and animation also learned web design flash and director which kinda helped in modding as well

@TSBO: never heard anyone say uni student... just "Oh I'm in college" uni student sounds more sophisticated though gonna start sophomore year soon, kinda regret not going to a private high school instead of a public one but oh well can't change it now

Waste of money, American public schools are fun cause you already know all the **** they'll ever try to teach you. :P
