More GDI Subfactions Details & New Screen Shots

That wouldnt make too much sense though, no?

Also, its likely there wont be a GDI campaign, so were would you be seeing them then? When you fight against them as Nod?

Because if they are in skirmish, then im positive theyre in MP as well.

doh! I forgot it was a nod sp campaign!

But IMO that just reinforced my speculation...

There are three acts in KW, and if there is no GDI campaign...

Does that mean we get three acts of Nod?

Would be kinda weird if Scrin wasn't in it.

Though Nod fanatic, I definitely hope for acts of all three sides, to keep the variety.

Thats true, a deeper Scrin one would pwn. Still, a GDI with McNeill would be a huge plus!

Yes. After you finished the Nod campaign, your free to play global domination mode with the other two sides.

what's that anyway? Is it like War of the Ring from BfME? Or like the world domination mode from TS?

no I think it's more like Warhammer Dark Crusade campaign.

If you have tried it.

It's about conquering the planet land by land, defeating the other factions.

But I doubt a faction in KW will be totally defeated if you beat the headquarter.

Like EBfD's campaign?

wtf is that :wtf:

I think it's like Risk if you know that game,.

c'mon! you choose a land next to you on a big map and choose the amount of force you want to bring into the capture.

next step is winning the battle as a "skrimish"..

When you win you go on.

If somebody attack's your land, your previous base at the map is saved and will appear at your hands to push the attacker back.

Emperor: Battle for Dune.

They didnt really explain yet how it works, actually.

I read somewhere that it's a "step for step" world takeover.

Also read that all remaining structures stay on the map till next battle.

I thought the campaign was set up using the world domination thing? So you'd do a bunch of missions, get an FMV, then do a **** load more and get a FMV. Just like Dune... But like in Dune, sometimes it would take a while to get a FMV... :(

Yes, something like that. Therefore it really lives and breathes on level and mission design, hopefully they learned their lesson from all the games which tried this combo and failed.

This is how I imagined it, slightly combined with Luk3us's memory of the Emperor: Battle for Dune style.

The thing is we're fairly certain this expansion will only have a nod campaign. I assume it will be structured similiar to TW for SP. Then afterwards you can go back and do the world domination of current (post TW) world from any of the three factions. Whether there are any FMV's is a whole 'nuther question!?! As the SP FMV may not be relevant.

I guess it's possible to have some scripted random events with intro briefings or outcomes created... but it didn't work for Emperor. And I guess the 'green light' for this sort of additional expense would depend on how critical this SP campaign mode would be.

Let's hope things have advanced just a little

yes. we hope and pray.

[fantasy mode]

A next gen WORLD DOMINATION with human players and real-time briefings would be uber-l33t! Team play, with a designated general who builds the bases on the world map, team players who take control of sectors as chosen by general, all other map/battles are skirmish ai!

[/fantasy mode]

But really, I wonder how long before we see that in a game.

I have a chineese ps2 game very simmiliar to this.

It's a 2 player fighting game, where you must fight together against endless armies and combine rampage with strategy to win each battle.

It's called Dynasty Warriors 4 emperors, or something.

wouldn't surprise if there where a 5 somewhere.

cool game anyway :)
