Sonic 296 Posted December 14, 2007 Ever wanted to play the extra missions from the Nintendo 64 version of Command & Conquer? Well thanks to Nyerguds you can play them in the PC version with his C&C Nintendo 64 Mission pack. C&C1 Nintendo 64 Missionsby Nyerguds These four missions are found in the Nintendo 64 version of the game. There are two GDI missions and two Nod missions. After copying the files to your C&C directory, they should appear in the New Missions list in the game. The missions are indicated as "N64 Special Ops" in the New Missions list. These are NOT the same "Special Ops" missions that could be found on the Playstation version of Command & Conquer. They are totally different and unique for the Nintendo 64 version of the game. Full details for installing the missions are included in the readme file. Click the link below for the download. C&C Nintendo 64 Missions (19 KB) Share this post Link to post

Inferno 22 Posted December 14, 2007 Is it just me or is the first GDI mission of this one easy as pie? The others are kind of tough tho... Share this post Link to post
Redmond Boyle 0 Posted December 14, 2007 That depends on if Pie can be considered as an easy thing... Share this post Link to post

Inferno 22 Posted December 15, 2007 The second GDI mission doesn't work on mine, using The First Decade. Anyone else having the problem? Nope, works fine with me. Share this post Link to post
Overcow 0 Posted December 15, 2007 Awsome, have to try them out sometime. ^^ Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 102 Posted December 15, 2007 Yes, the first GDI mission is horribly easy... not to mention, zero replayability. They should have some kind of one-shot airstrike ability in C&C1. (and even then, if you airstrike in the shroud... the biolab isnt that hard to nail) Though if you still get the bug where Nod doesn't build anything and apparently has no money... well I thought I fixed that :- Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted December 15, 2007 But the fact that you have loads and loads of tiberium means you can fend off any nod attacks. Adv Guard Tower whore and you win. Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 102 Posted December 16, 2007 ...you're talking about GDI mission #2 right? I must admit I never really finished that one. Despite the compression of the files on the ROM I was able to edit the mission file enough to make sure I could waltz through it without any trouble. In my defense, I was only doing it to uncover all terrain so I could rebuild the map And that was before I found out I can link my N64 emulator controls to the mouse movements, making the game almost as playable as the PC version Anyway, I'm editing GDI #1 to make it slightly more challenging... So far, I'm at least making sure that all important buildings in the main base get rebuilt if you destroy them, and that the artilleries guarding the CY at least freaking attack instead of just sitting there. I also fixed a minor error in the map itself. It seems the body of water where the hovercrafts land was one cell too wide. I might also edit the enemy attacks a bit, so they actually attack your base from the moment they see it instead of trying to move into it as far as possible. Oh btw, the complete C&C N64 project can be found here: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/N64Project/ There's some funny stuff in there, like a new Dr. Moebius voice clip, and the text of the C&C64 intro animation Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted December 16, 2007 No, i'm talking mission one. You can just go where the small Nod base is, deploy there and expand. Large tiberium field south of there. Oh and a fix should be that the refinery there has a harvester, there's just an empty refinery, doing nothing >_> Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 102 Posted December 16, 2007 Normally, once they have money, the AI sees it as a refinery of which the harvester has been destroyed, and makes a second harvester for it. Unfortunately, it usually doesn't come to that refinery but just unloads in the northern Nod base. I can't just give it a harvester from the start; too much depends on that. See, to make sure the AI doesn't spam you with flame throwers right from the start, Nod simply doesn't have any money or harvesters. A harvester gets reinforced from the moment you destroy / capture one of the advanced power plants (some other buildings have the trigger too), so that Nod only starts producing stuff after you got your MCV. I could make the mission trigger reinforce 2 harvesters instead of one though, and make the second one go down to the small base. [edit] Well, that works! I was kinda concerned that the harvester would take the middle bridge to get to the southern tiberium, but it works perfectly [edit again] Nod seems to create a 3rd harvester this way, and if the south refinery is occupied, harvs harvesting on the south patch get stuck in the rocks north of your base (trying to go to the northern refinery). I fixed it by just making the reinforced harvester go to the middle east tiberium field. It unloads in the small base, they get money, then they make a second harvester which harvest in the north west field. I don't want to make it harvest on the south-eastern field, since that probably makes it possible to lure the harvester with the commando right away and kill it before Nod got its first money dump. Also, that's the player's tiberium Share this post Link to post
Nyerguds 102 Posted December 21, 2007 Well, dunno if there's still any interest in this, but the new version, complete with original N64 win and lose sequences is now finished and can be downloaded here: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/N64Pro...64_cnc_miss.zip Filesize is about 4 MB, due to the presence of the 4 videos.
