EA will only go and mess it up like they did with generals :angry: Generals is not like the traditional C&C, the build everywhere feature is crap. they should keep it like RA2

Boy have I been away for too long.

Well, overall I'm happy about this announcement. Not rabid fanboy happy, there's still room in my mind for doubt, but certainly pleased that Red Alert 3 is something of a reality now.

My two cents as it were-

 

General wishlist:

- Hell's March returns in some manner. I do not care how, so long as it returns and it is good.

- All three factions are balanced from the START. The Scrin were an interesting idea but come on, YURI was better balanced then they were at times

- Please no more zerg armies. A tank rush is one thing, it at least requires a fair investment in capital. Spamming infantry is merely lame.

- Keep the weirdness established in RA2. This is a setting where Einstein built a time machine just to assassinate Hitler, normality need not apply.

- Dedicated healer units, I hate losing veteran units as it is.

- Upping the importance of naval combat is a interesting idea but please don't go overboard, this is Command and Conquer: Red Alert, not Command and Conquer: Ocean Patrol.

 

Faction specific:

- The Chrono and War miners make a return. They were a nice touch to differenate the two armies.

- Work on the Allies Weather Control Machine, it's powerful but less controllable then a good nuke.

- Do not give the Soviets any of Yuri's old units (like the cloning vats or the psi-radar) back, the biotech branch didn't really suit them in retrospect except as a plot device for a few Allied Missions. Instead let them have Boris, the siege choppers, and the Industrial Plant

 

Empire of the Rising Sun specific:

- Could we see a transforming mobile refinery like Yuri's slave miner? Mostly because I'm nostalgic but that also was a very good idea for whoever thought of it.

- Please do not make them like the Scrin, spamming infantry until they can build their trump card units (like the Scrin Mothership.)

- Being a high-tech Japanese-themed faction, I understand that mecha is very tempting but they should not use that branch unless they can make it cool and unique. The transforming vehicles is a interesting idea though.

- Keeping with the theme of transforming vehicles, I wonder if we can see a return of the mobile war factory from C&C Firestorm?

Eh, I would perfer a "softer" look with a "Come to Russia, even in cold our country is warm." Or something cheesy like that, but that's just me.
