Luk3us 63 Posted April 25, 2008 Hmm... Well I suppose you could try internet tv or whatever its called. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 26, 2008 all those illegal tv websites and all those channels out there and you can't find a sport you like to watch? o.O; and just for reference rugby is still better then american football. armour? pish we don't need that XD like we don't need teeth or solid bones XD; Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 26, 2008 But of course, besides American Football takes to long, I mean come on, they have like rest breaks every time they drop the ball. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 27, 2008 well it is heavy armour and they need to take their daily dose of steroids o.o Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted April 27, 2008 They didn't do to well, eh? I lol'd. They lost horribly. I didn't expect anything better anyways. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 28, 2008 ew baseball >.>; i'd rather watch cricket and that's saying something XD Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 28, 2008 Cricket is alright, but its the sport you watch during the ads of another tv program. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 29, 2008 agreed xD like i said previously the only sport i watch is the world cup o.o and that's because it's international... really i should watch local games too. they're more entertaining... during the world cup everyone tries for free stuff and dive a lot :\ small games are brutal XD Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 29, 2008 Soccer matches are only cool if they show the rioting after the game. Share this post Link to post
Dr. Rodney McKay 0 Posted April 29, 2008 Even that's not cool anymore. Rugby, from the few games I've seen, is a pretty badass sport. I still prefer American Football, though. It's a bit more...civilized. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 30, 2008 lol... Civilized? I don't think any sport that involves giant men running at each other as fast as they can, can truly be considered civilized. Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted April 30, 2008 lol... Civilized? I don't think any sport that involves giant men running at each other as fast as they can, can truly be considered civilized. Well said. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted April 30, 2008 Rugby, from the few games I've seen, is a pretty badass sport. Rugby is not "badass", over the years with rule changes its been turned into a pansy game. If you want big hits its Rugby League you should check out. League is faster and more entertaining version of the game. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted April 30, 2008 I find League so boring compared to Union. Ok you get some big hits in League, but at the same time its way to restricted and tactically no where near as in depth Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted April 30, 2008 Rugby Union has gotten worse since it became a professional sport. Before that it wasn't as governed as League, but it's lost an edge, and as a result of the rules a lot of Union games have turned into "kicking touch" games with action rarely getting interesting outside each team's 22 line... And sure you're right Alphabear, Union can be considered a more tactical game, but usually the tactic is always to kick the ball as far down field as possible. League is better though. I've played a few league matches before, and I enjoyed it... It was faster, funner, and damn you need to be fitter! As Sonic's videos show... us Rugby players aren't pansies like American footballers... We don't need armour to protect us or knock 10 tonnes of crap out of the opposition Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 30, 2008 Rugby would be much more interesting if they had the same numbers as in a League game. At the moment there are too many people on the field, to make any decent breaks and the like. Which is why league is more interesting that way. That being said, all they do is hit it up, not many moves or anything of the like in league, its generally not worth the effort imo. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted April 30, 2008 well y'know... i'm still not really into rugby. big men hurting each other? if i wanted to see that i could just stand outside the local pub at closing time X3; i can't believe the next (football) world cup is in 2010... so far away T-T i wants it now D= i guess i have the olympics inbetween... but meh. nowhere near as fun >-> pretty much boring >>; Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 30, 2008 You do of course realise, Football is just about kicking a ball at other people, which isn't really that much better. Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted April 30, 2008 You do of course realise, Football is just about kicking a ball at other people, which isn't really that much better. Agreed. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted May 1, 2008 and what's rugby? kicking a ball between two posts and hurting other guys >-> why not just go all out and watch boxing or UFC X3;; Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted May 1, 2008 UFC is boring. And boxing is either over too quick, or takes to long. Its never a nice middle ground. Share this post Link to post
Mina Synd 0 Posted May 1, 2008 i was just using those as an example >.> not being into fighting stuff i wouldn't know any other examples >_> only reason i know about UFC is cos it's on bravo all the frickin time o.O i don't wanna watch that i wanna watch starsky and hutch and street crime uk xD Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted May 1, 2008 How about we agree on this - sports are usually boring as **** to watch and more fun to play. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted May 1, 2008 That depends entirely on the sport. For example, me driving a car at upwards of 200kph, might be fun for a while, but when I get to a corner, its going to stop being fun and start being painful. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted May 1, 2008 That's what drifting and the e-brake is for. Share this post Link to post
