New C&C 4 Screen Shot & Unit Info

German gaming site GameStar has posted two new screen shots and some detailed information about some of the units for both GDI and Nod in Command & Conquer 4. For most people in the community, only one of the screen shots are new but doesn't really reveal anything new that we haven't already seen. Here's the latest screen shot.

 

As mentioned, GameStar is a German site, but they have provided English translations of the unit information. A sample below.

 

Electronic Arts has taken base building out of Command & Conquer, instead each faction own a mobile base, the so-called Crawler. It can convert itself into a factory anywhere and produce units, which need to be paid for. When this Nod-base has finished a new unit, the metal dome to the left opens and the unit ascends to the battlefield on some kind of elevator.

 

The only buildings you are allowed to raise yourself are defensive towers and even they can only be used by the defensive player class. There are different types. Here it's a gun against vehicles (above) and a rocket launcher. Both can be retracted into the ground to lure opponents into ambushes. When defensive Nod players gain experience and levels, they can also unlock the Obelisk of Light, the well-known and powerful laser tower of the Brotherhood.

I hate the Talon designs. It's halfland-based-stuff-half-orca-half-fly-wait-i-cant-fly-but-hover f**k. What the f**k?

 

While the design for the Nod rocket tank looks cool, i couldn't believe that the rumors are true, that that is the stealth tank. Doesn't look Nod stealth technological stuff to me at all.

 

The rest of the stuff are cool, and I think its just me who likes the new Scorpion tank design, light and fast, and that crazy little obelisk tail.

 

Lol to the pulverizer. I knew it would deploy into something (i guessed it was a mobile stealth gen. some time back), never kinda see it erect with that big manhood. Oh well. XD

All of them do. It's the textures.

Just as I feared, I knew those devs will always have a dark side and may take the franchise lightly. Though it looks serious on the outside, but on the inside, there's a surface which tells they take things very lightly. Much like I remember they took the RA3 Apoc tank so lightly until they beef it up after the Community Summit, but still not beefy or scary enough to certain fans, particularly the hardcore ones or Westwood fanatics (Including myself).

 

It's true, I hate to say something like that, but that's what I know about them even if they say the acting in C&C4 has been changed to serious acting rather than just Hollywood showoffs.
