  1. Perhaps a bad install of the game? Have you tried re-installing? Uninstall the game via the Control Panel and then delete any folders left, throw in your Zero Hour disc and re-install the game. Grab the Zero Hour 1.04 patch as well http://www.cncnz.com/features/command-conquer-patch-centre/3/
  2. They say you always remember your first. Do you remember your first "boink" in C&C Renegade? https://www.facebook.com/CNCNZcom/posts/10153378408737671 https://www.facebook.com/CNCRenX/posts/10153936395147431
  3. W3D Hub have released version 3.0.2.0 of Red Alert: A Path Beyond. A lot of the changes in this release are based on fan feedback. This patch contains mostly balance changes, but there are other things in the update as well like an overhauled Master Control Terminal, some new sounds, changes to Coastal Influence's Soviet base, and more. To see the full list of changes, follow this link. You can update to version 3.0.2.0 via the W3D Hub Launcher.
  4. I never really liked the "boink" kill sound in Renegade, I ended up replacing it with a blood curdling scream that was taken from the original C&C.
  5. So here we are in 2016. We can look back on 2015 in the Command & Conquer community as year of transition from all directions. We still got nothing from EA about the future of the franchise so no real change there. But we did see many significant mod releases, Renegade modding teams splitting and forging their own paths. Lots of cool fan created media. There was a resurgence in the people playing the classic Command & Conquer games online thanks to the outstanding efforts of CnCNet. And of course for the more modern Command & Conquer games, player numbers are healthy on C&C:Online. And for us here at CNCNZ.com it was a year of important changes to secure the future of the site moving forward. Through the first six months of 2015 we battled on going issues with our hosting and server performance. These problems forced a change of hosting. And this saw CNCNZ.com successfully return home to New Zealand shores in June. Now we move onto 2016, what does this year have in-store for us as Command & Conquer fans? Will EA break their silence and finally resurrect Command & Conquer? All we can do is wait and see. Time for a quick list of credits and special mentions to all who keep CNCNZ.com ticking. The CNCNZ.com Staff, supporters, visitors and members on our forums, as well as our friends from around the community who have contributed content and information for the site and forums throughout the year. Our excellent hosts, MyHost New Zealand, especially when I screwed things up early in December. So it's a Happy New Year from CNCNZ.com! Welcome to 2016!
  6. This week's Throwback Thursday goes back to the original Command & Conquer from 1995 with a look back at another iconic unit, the Brotherhood of Nod Flame Tank, also known as the "Devil's Tongue". Armed with twin fixed flame cannons joined to two large pressurized napalm tanks mounted on the back. The driver's canopy is located between the giant flame-throwers. Designed to intimidate and strike fear in their enemies, Nod used the Flame Tanks for eliminating infantry. Many have fallen to the hot flame of Devil's Tongue. The Flame Tank was one the of the mainstays in Nod's arsenal and it's definitely an iconic C&C unit. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.

    Hello Everyone

I was hopeful as well. Especially in December 2012 when some of us went to EA Studio in LA to play test an alpha build. The team were on track to make something special I felt, they just need time. I share your outlook for the future. Rather than going into details here you should read my article found here http://www.cncnz.com/features/articles-editorials/the-state-of-the-command-conquer-franchise-where-to-from-here/

    Hello Everyone

Ah yes Petro-Games, I has such big plans for that site. Why did the games have get so boring and suck? Oh well. Thinking back you have missed about 2-3 CNCNZ.com redesigns, a BIG forum upgrade, the transition to our now WordPress powered site (December 2013). Oh yeah and our much needed move back home to New Zealand located hosting this past June. On the C&C gaming side you missed C&C 4, no big loss, the announcement of Generals 2, then re-announced as a free to play C&C... and then it's cancellation. So you have missed a bit but not that much I guess.
  9. For Throwback Thursday this week we go back to Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath from 2008. Featuring the return of the Titan and the Wolverine. Since EA had a lot of plot holes and contradictions to patch up after Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, it actually worked rather well because we got to see two of the popular GDI units from the Tiberian Sun era make their return. Both units were part of the GDI Steel Talons sub faction. The Steel Talons specialised in using untested technologies on the battlefield, it seemed odd to be using older tech like the Titan and Wolverine. But these were not same Titans and Wolverines, these are their Mk II variants, packing a bit more punch than their original counterparts. Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Kane's Wrath Running slow

Just to rule it out. Have you patched the game to v1.02? If not head here for the download http://www.cncnz.com/features/command-conquer-patch-centre/
  12. For the past 10 hours or so, the C&C:Online server has been unavailable. There hasn't been to much reported that explains the cause of the server downtime. The problem is with the hosting company of the C&C:Online server. The C&C:Online team hope to have it back up and running soon. UPDATE: C&C:Online is now back online once again.
  13. New to CNCNZ.com. Starting this week, each Monday becomes Music Monday. We share our favourite tracks from the lengthy archives of soundtracks from all of the Command & Conquer games. Perhaps your favourites will show up. This week, its the "The Red Menace" from the Red Alert 3 soundtrack. This one is signature Frank Klepacki. Hardcore metal, perfect for the battlefield. A new track will be posted next Monday. Share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.
  14. Imperial Age for C&C Renegade is the latest project to join the team at W3D Hub. Imperial Age aims to deliver dynamic gameplay with many new units, vehicles, and weapons. Some of its features include.... The current build has around 120 vehicles; 60 per team. This number is not including aircraft, naval units, Forgotten and neutral vehicles. Each vehicle has its own passive abilities and role to play. 20+ maps, each with their own unique way of playing. Some maps are best suited to open vehicle combat, others may see good choke-points to build barricades and place minefields, while some may feature hazards such as quicksand! Research and upgrade terminals to improve your team's vehicles and weaponry. On maps with Construction Yards, you can restore base structures depending on costs. Vehicles have weak points, and in some instances you may even land critical hits. Faster paced gameplay than Vanilla Renegade. Check out the announcement topic right here. More details about Imperial Age are expected soon.

Grey Goo - Petroglyph's New RTS

I thought Grey Goo bombed out months ago?
  16. With out getting to technical here, I think I've made the necessary changes and fixes to the forums and our database to stop this redirect issue again, just like I did back in April 2015. Please let me know if you continue experience the problem. I will also be monitoring this as well.
  17. This week’s instalment of Throwback Thursday goes back to Command & Conquer Generals in 2003 to look at another iconic Command & Conquer unit. Every Command & Conquer game has had a big tank for one of the factions. In the Tiberium universe we got the GDI Mammoth Tank, in the Red Alert universe (from Red Alert 2 onwards) we got the Soviet Apocalypse Tank. In Command & Conquer Generals, the tradition continued with the Chinese Overlord Tank. And of all the big tanks, the Overlord was probably the most versatile in terms how it be upgraded. Add the Battle Bunker to give the ability to garrison infantry inside it. Add some extra fire power with Gatling Cannon upgrade, or keep your forces healed at all times with the addition of a Propaganda Tower. The strategy with this upgrade system was to decide what upgrade you needed, as only one of them could be applied to any Overlord Tank at a time.
  18. W3D Hub have uploaded the Red Alert: A Path Beyond Delta Trailer and delivered a the v3.0.1.0 patch as well. 19. Oh not this **** again! This has happened before and I'll sort it out when I get home later today. It's just an annoying redirect. It's not problem with your computer. The redirect will only happen if you click link to the forums from a social networking site or Google search link. This only effects the forums, not the main site.
  20. We are going back to multiple years for this week's Throwback Thursday. Many of the Command & Conquer games began life with a different logo to what see on the box covers for them today. During the alpha/beta stages of development of the original Command & Conquer in 1994, the game featured a slightly different logo. We don't know what made Westwood change it though. Fast forward to 1999/2000, Red Alert 2 was announced featuring an odd looking logo, it was soon changed one that matched the first Red Alert logo. In 2001, Yuri's Revenge was announced with a simplistic looking design, this was also changed later to fit with the Red Alert 2 style. In 2006 when Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Was was revealed, EA used a very different looking C&C logo, with a modernised twist and a big green stylised number 3 behind it. The logo was redesigned some months later and looked much better. In 2008, Red Alert 3 was announced sporting a very eye catching logo, complete with backwards lettering to go with the game's Russian artwork theme. The logo was changed to a more simple looking one though. But I think it would have been cool to keep the first one. Of all these unused logos for C&C games, which one looks the best to you? Remember, you can click on the preview to see a larger and more detailed image. Don't forget to check out the Throwback Thursdays archives if you've missed a week. Check back again next Thursday for another Throwback. Send in your ideas for future instalments. We encourage you to share this on social media using the hash tags #ThrowbackThursday, #CnCTBT and #CNCNZTBT.
  21. Sorry I made a typo before. The game can't distributed. If someone does know of a source to obtain it you can't share it here anyway, as per our forum rules.
  22. Despite it being cancelled it is still copyrighted property of EA so it can't be distributed anyway.
  23. Nice work. I'm not a modder though And remember if you ever use our site's name its always "CNCNZ.com". For those wondering its pronounced as "See-En-See-En-Zed-Dot-Com".
  24. Found on the official site for former EALA Art Director, Mike Colonnese. A Mammoth Tank cinematic 3D model for Command & Conquer 3. Thought it was cool enough to share for those who haven't seen it. https://sketchfab.com/models/5c8828541bb145919d0fbc7d2862527b https://wasabirobot.artstation.com/portfolio/mammoth-tank-1
  25. A quick hot-fix patch for Renegade X has been released. Version 5.14 includes the following changes. Removed 'stand-by' text with remote C4. Players can count to one second. Chem Troopers are now immune to damage from blue Tiberium (like on Mesa II) Added all of those view fixes listed in the last patch. A manual download is available for those who need it. Or you can just update Renegade X via the launcher. The full details about this patch are available here.
