Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Great movie. A true Star Wars story. Epic space battles with plenty of ships. Felt a bit unfamiliar with some of the characters at first but I guess that was just me. Overall I think it was better than The Force Awakens.
  2. The brand new narrative trailer for the Tiberium Secrets mod for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars was made available just a few days ago. It sets up the very detailed background story. An alpha release is planned for 2017, but for now, this almost 7 minute trailer will have to do. Watch it in the video above.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

So anyone planning on going out to see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story over the next few days, or week, or more? I'm going Friday night. For those who are seeing it sooner than others, please don't post any spoilers about it and ruin it. Use the spoiler tags if simply must talk about it.
  5. C&C Music Monday returns this week after its sudden absence last week. All throughout November we featured tracks from the Red Alert soundtrack, it's now time to put the focus on other games. This week's pick is "Overlord Moving" from the C&C Generals soundtrack. Composed by Bill Brown, it features a big, fat, heavy guitar riff, perfect for the monster that its the Chinese Overlord tank. A new track will be posted next Monday. And as always, don't forget to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

    Movies of 2017

Firstly, when making a list, make it a bulleted list, much easier to read I've shortened your list to remove the crap. Well its what I would rather see... Spider-Man: Homecoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Thor: Ragnarok Alien: Covenant Logan Wonder Woman Justice League Transformers: The Last Knight Star Wars Episode VIII Isn't Justice League set for early 2018 though?

    Rumor of next C&C....

Sounds like bull**** to me. I don't have all the details but I'm certain there is no "tech demo" or anything like to do with any future C&C game. **** that. There is no future for the franchise if EA plan to take it mobile.
  9. The Last of Us was one of the best game I played on PS3, the sequel has finally announced....
  10. Many months have past since we last changed the main site poll. So based on a recent tweet from the Renegade X team I thought it would be a good idea to start this new poll called What was your favourite C&C Renegade map? You can only pick one. Forgotten all about the classic maps in C&C Renegade? You can remind yourself about them on this page. To vote in this poll you need to be on the main page of our site, and cast your vote in the poll box on the right side bar. You can also check the current results in the Poll Archives. And, as always, don't forget to share any feedback or comments about this poll as well. Now lets take a quick look back the results from the previous poll, What is your favourite sub faction in Kane's Wrath? With the 31% of the vote, many of you stay loyal to the Brotherhood and the Black Hand sub faction. Full results can be found in the Poll Archives.
  11. In early November, we got to see a proof-of-concept build of Red Alert 2 in Unreal Engine 4 and in VR, which was cool. Today we can share with you another way. How about playing Red Alert 2 on your Android phone? ZeUbermensch posted this on our forums earlier today. He has managed to get the game running his Nexus 5 using ExaGear. He has shared some video of it in action, which you can watch above. There is a rather lengthy process to getting it working, but it's all there. Check out this post here on forums for more. Further information can be found in this post on Imgur.

    No Man's Sky

So I picked this game up for PS4 today. Always wanted a space exploration game (I tried the Elite Dangerous demo on Xbox One, didn't like it). As for No Man's Sky, I like how the game looks, there is so much potential to have a true space adventure here. But sadly the game is an unstable mess. I've never had a PS4 game (or any console game) crash like this one. I could only play for about an hour and half and it crapped out twice, loosing all progress. The lack of an early tutorial made made feel totally lost, you just get thrown in the deep end on some random planet and told to repair vital equipment on your ship. Took me most of the first hour just figuring out how to do this. And then just as I was getting the hang of things the first hard crash happened, the game totally froze up. Restarting, I had to do all the same things again. This time though, I got attacked by some sentinel droids, I've got basically nothing to fight them off with so they kicked my ass. So I get killed. Third attempt, starting all over again, I begin to collect the resources I need to repair things, I get attacked by the same sentinel droids, getting wasted and the game crashes yet again during this attack. Since I was getting pissed off I ended my No Man's Sky experience there. I haven't even taken off in my ship to leave the planet yet. So I'm a little disappointed in the game right now. Apparently there is a patch coming for PS4 and PC that hopefully sort out the crashing issues. Anyone else playing or planning to get No Man's Sky?
  15. One small change. Renamed the tech forum to Tech Discussion & Support, and updated its description. Cartoon and Conquer is now archived and moved down the list in the Hosted Project category.
  16. It's C&C Music Monday time once again, and we are finishing the Red Alert 20th Anniversary month with another classic track from its soundtrack. This week, we feature "Smash". This one is another fast-paced techno-sounding track from Frank Klepacki. A new track will be posted next Monday. And as always, don't forget to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.

    No Man's Sky

The base building sounds like fun but not enough to bring me back. This game ****ed me off so much. What a waste of $90.
  18. Why do you need to "add" a search engine to the browser, is it that difficult to simply go to https://www.google.com ? Or you could just follow this http://www.opera.com/blogs/news/2014/10/how-to-add-search-engine-to-opera-for-computers/ Guess what, I found that by searching Google
  19. For the first time since Death Magnetic in 2008, Metallica will release their latest studio album on the 18th of November called "Hardwired...To Self-Destruct". Check out the first single below.... Album Info https://metallica.com/blog/news/429181/hardwired-to-self-destruct-available-november-18-2
  20. For guys who are now in their 50's to produce this hard and thrashy music is great, I'm not saying that because I'm a Metallica die hard fan, its just how I see it. I like every song on the new album because I hear variety, some experimentation, some nostalgic riffs that remind me of past Metallica songs. If I had to pick one favourite it has to be Spit Out the Bone.... I hope they come back to New Zealand sometime on their next big tour, would be so awesome to hear some of these new songs live!

Why I gave up Firefox for Opera

I've been using Firefox for many years. Zero problems. Its always fast, sites load quick and my PC specs are far from cutting edge. Gave up caring about whatever version Firefox is up to ages ago, its version number is basically meaningless anyway. With that said, I've been using Microsoft Edge sometimes, works rather good for what I need.
  22. Version 0.6 of Twisted Insurrection for Tiberian Sun has been released. Twisted Insurrection is a standalone game based on a heavily modified Tiberian Sun engine. The game features a completely new in-depth storyline which puts you in an alternate time-line where the Brotherhood of Nod were victorious during the first Tiberian War rather than GDI. Do you have what it takes to drag the shattered Global Defense Initiative out of ruin? Or will you crush all who oppose the will of Kane and his Inner Circle? Simultaneously, volume 6 of the Twisted Insurrection original soundtrack has been made available for download as well. It features an exclusive remix by the one and only Frank Klepacki. You can download the latest release and the soundtrack right here.
  23. For C&C Music Monday this week, we finally feature one of the most popular video game songs ever, it's "Hell March". An iconic song, when you hear this you instantly know it's Red Alert. A classic masterpiece by the one and only Frank Klepacki. And we think its only fitting that "Hell March" be featured for the 20th anniversary of Red Alert. A new track will be posted next Monday. And as always, don't forget to share this on social media using the hash tags #CnCMusicMonday and #MusicMonday.
  24. So I've been listening to this album no stop over the weekend. Its ****ing good. You don't have to buy a copy to list to all of the new songs though, as Metallica has basically given away the whole album on their YouTube channel. They made videos for all 12 new songs....
  25. We've already had one cover of the Soviet March track from Red Alert 3 this week, but here's a truly authentic Russian cover of the same track. Performed by real Russians, complete with vodka and a lot of other references I don't understand. Anyway check it out in the video above.
