CNCNZ Main Site - Info Errors

Then I guess a change in this topic's name is in order. There, changed to "CNCNZ Main Site - Info Errors" to better acomodate mistake reports from the information given on the main site.
  5. http://www.cncnz.com...s/#.UBaMQKCG58E I remember running into a few grammatical errors somewhere around there, but that's not the point. In short, the Nod Attack Buggy is missing or has not been included in the unit list.

CNCNZ Main Site - Info Errors

That doesn't sound like a valid reason to not add it to the list in an upcoming site clean-up/update/fix/whatever, it was a common game unit after all.
  7. Just a quick counter-question; are you sure the 2 "hidden" factions/generals are actually set up as real standalone factions? My first thought was that the AI's default faction units and settings were modified to better fit a certain level much like you could do in the World Builder if you're into custom campaign missions or mods.
  8. You could always ask Plokite_Wolf to try and do a female voice. ...
  9. Looks as though the legos are "on ice" for the time being, at least until you figure out how to tackle Tanya's voice. Ask around, surely you know someone how has a female friend that would like to get some acting experience...

    Dissapearing Debris

Should have known this would have been a long shot, since I don't remember any hulls being present in any campaign missions. Though I'm just messing around with my own singleplayer map, so modding isn't something I'd like to get into at the moment. Thanks for the help but I think I'll just work around it by replacing the hulls with severely damaged neutral vehicles (+ "unselectable" option). Should have thought of that a long time ago. *facepalms*
  11. I think I've found the answer over at CNC Labs. Sorry for double posting, but here is something to help others with the same problem: http://www.cnclabs.com/forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=7211
  12. It's been a few years now and my Generals World Builder skills are a bit rusty. I need help on figuring out why the *preview sound* button is unresponsive. It's clickable, yet it just plays the standard "bump" sound windows uses to indicate an error by default. It doesn't matter which sound file i choose from the drop down list, it's always the error sound when I hit "Preview sound". This is making my work more time consuming because I have to dig up sound files in order to preview them by extracting them from the game just to find the ones I'm looking for. I'm open to suggestions on how to resolve this issue... A quick overview on how to get to the location where my problem occurs: World Builder -> Edit Scripts -> New Script -> Actions if true -> New / Edit -> Multimedia -> Sound Effect -> Play a speech file -> 1st parameter (??? - choose file) -> Preview sound
  13. Hahahah, the V3 launch tecnique cracked me up. Another great episode!

    Command & Conquer War Stories

My younger brother and I started a match of Tiberian Sun (FS) a few years back, and since that LAN game he doesn't want to play against me anymore. Why is that? It was a one on one match with "standard" startup options on tech level 10. The map was Forest Fires so each of us had one small base entrance (and a 'back door' path). My brother, due to his more FPS-like gaming preferences, never did have a thing for RTS tactics so he just bunkered his base up with stationary defenses and what not, a real turtle. Throughout the game I was unchallenged in my expansions for the most part. Oh and he was GDI, while I was playing as Nod even though we usually play the other way around. Both of us reached the upper tech level units and buildings due to my decision not to run him over early on. Around mid-game, things got a bit boring for me, so I sent a Mobile Stealth Generator to deploy itself right at his very base entrance - a space between two cliffs which he HAD to cross when venturing out of his base. After it was set up, I sent a Mutant Hijacker down to the Mobile Stealth Generator to be on stand-by for some funny moments. After a few minutes, I notice my brother laughing from the other room most likely because he didn't have a good view of the map and thought that he had a more powerful army at the time. As a "display of power" he sent out his first Mammoth walker out his gate and through the path to his base, thinking I' d see it and "panic" (hahaha) - which I did (the noticing of the unit part ). What he didn't expect is for his Mammoth to just be walking along and SWOOOSH! His unit just wanished from his screen (due to my Hijacker and Generator). A few seconds later, oh look! There's your Mammoth bro! He's returning to your base, and has been spray-painted to match my faction color by my best street painter - the Mutant Hijacker! I've never laughed so hard during a game of TS! The look on his face after that event was priceless.
  16. I'm certain most of you have noticed that fewer and fewer (new) games have actual LAN support. I can understand why that is and why game developers would want to make multiplayer play only possible through certain registrations and online "checks", but simple LAN play would definetly present a huge hit if Gen 2 turns out OK. I really hope we don't get stuck with only-online play for this one. Whats your view on this issue?
  17. *In other news...* The pyramid rescue scene cracked me up! hahah
  18. I opened up one of the images from the CNCNZ index page (from a news post). It "opened up" in a new box and faded the index page as usual, but the small banner-like news slide show overlaped the image, and continued rotating images a layer above it, so I couldn't see the whole image. Used a newer firefox version. Just thought you should know.

    TS Missing FMV's

First of all, I couldn't find a trace of a similar topic via CNCNZ's search engine so don't harass me about that. Alright, I've downloaded a "new" freeware Tiberian Sun game since I lost my last one somewhere in a PC clean-up. Seems as though it's not the TFD version, yet it doesn't contain any of the FMV cutscenes that are supposed to appear before and after missions during both campaigns. Including the general faction intro videos. From what I've seen in a short run-through, only the victory and defeat short cutscenes are included. Don't ask me for a link to the download because I oblitherated any traces of it "by accident" a few days ago. I need help (instructions & download links if possible) on how to add those missing cutscenes back in the game. This is not Firestorm we're talking about, but I would appreciate any help regarding FS aswell 'cause I'll most likely be aquiring the expansion pack to go along with the original again. It's been a while since my last digging and whatnot through older games, but I think I'm in need of FULL versions of the files listed below for TS (and perhaps some other ones + also for FS if possible), but I'll let the 'classic C&C hackers' that prey on innocent gamers around CNCNZ run me over it, ofcourse... MOVIES01.mix MOVIES02.mix (both are already present in the game folder, by the way) Also, the 'intro/sneak peek' button does nothing, so it's safe to assume that FMV is not there.
  20. zocom7 stole the show... I just started laughing when I saw most of the starting questions were his.
  21. @ forming a CNCNZ alliance We should wait until another server/world opens up... then coordinate everyone to spawn in a predesignated area. Joining up should be easier after that. For a more precise spawn, we could set a time for registering so we end up closer to each other.
  22. Well C&C has to die one day, but only in the official sense. I honestly doubt long time fans such as the people that make up the active community that exists today will just duck and hide in holes and whatnot. Just look at Renegade X for example... C&C lives as long as we who support it keep investing in it. Fans keep C&C alive, players. Ofcourse, with Generals 2 being on the rise, the C&C community is at it's peek in numbers. If C&C were to die off and lay low for a few years the come back of C&C LEGOs wouldn't have a large impact due to the fact that C&C would be partialy forgotten in many eyes. I mean sure, it could rejuvinate the community at a later time with some nostalgia and so on but I think that would only work for the part of the community which really loves the LEGO version of C&C. You can also forgett about newer generations supporting Command & Conquer (LEGO) humor solely on the fact that more classic C&C games just aren't their thing. I'd like to say to Zee that it's "now or never" but thats up to him. Maybe I'm wrong about all of this...
  23. So... out of all of CNCNZ's active members, only 8 have cast their votes in this poll? Nevertheless, our Hypnotist should definitely do what he currently WANTS to do. It has been implied a couple of times before that C&C material that is used in the series is getting a little streched. And as Jehal just stated: C&C will always be here. So there is really no need to keep on pumping oil out of a nearly exausted pump site. The series can always make a come back once Zee gets more inspiration and his mind refreashes a bit (if he chooses to do so). The main question here is does Zee really want to continue with these LEGO videos. The base of all this creative content is his will and inspiration to make it happen.
