Luk3us 63 Posted June 28, 2008 It was announced at the WWI, that Diablo 3 is officially in production! http://eu.blizzard.com/diablo3/ OMG! Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted June 28, 2008 Its not that exciting. I'd be more interested in something new from Blizzard for a change, Warcraft, Starcraft and now Diablo again On the other hand its probably better to play it safe. Petroglyph tried something new with UaW and look what happened with that game. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 28, 2008 UAW is a different kettle of fish though, Sega and MS were mainly at fault with what happened with UAW. Petro, just made some bad decisions. Besides, I love Diablo, so your, negative attitude, with nod deter me in the slightest! Things are looking up in gaming land, TW/KW, MGS4, RA3, Starcraft 2, and now Diablo. Some fun times ahead. hagren 0 Posted June 28, 2008 (edited) Edit: The second half of the gameplay kind of appeased me. I'm not head over heels in love with the game, but it's alright and I'm interested how it turns out. Almost wrote a slating review... DD: Yeah, but they're not perfect either. Edited June 29, 2008 by hagren Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted June 29, 2008 Blizzard doesn't make ****** games. It's that simple. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted July 1, 2008 I loved the line I read somewhere... "four years in development". If only certain other companies that won't be named would exercise that restraint. But I also wonder when 'development' starts technically - during a racketball game one day when one guy says to the other "hey - we should make a new diablo game!'... or does it actually start when the venture incurs costs ($)??? Nmenth 291 Posted July 1, 2008 I had given up on Diablo 3 after hearing 'There will be no Diablo 3' a few times. I guess they were wrong. (Unless I am badly mistaken, that was even said on the Arreat Summit...) Share this post Link to post
Red Blitzkrieg 0 Posted July 6, 2008 Looks pretty awesome from what I've seen. Very promissing Share this post Link to post
Dr. Rodney McKay 0 Posted July 8, 2008 Indeed it is. What exactly happened with UaW? Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted July 8, 2008 The campaign by all rights was too simple apparently. I don't know I never played it. As for online play, it totally bombed on PC. Though I hear that there are lots of Xbox 360 players playing it. Just no PC players, not worth the costs imo. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted July 8, 2008 Yeah live was terrible. I couldn't even connect to multiplayer on the Release UaW when i could host matches during the beta. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted July 8, 2008 Weird that there are more console players compared to PC... are there any differences? Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted July 8, 2008 All Xbox Console players have that Gold thing, so they can play online. PC players would have to BUY it, to play one game.. Since they most likely don't have an Xbox 360. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted July 8, 2008 Or they could just play without automatch for free Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted July 9, 2008 Yeah but you don't get lobbies or nothing, so its just lame. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted July 9, 2008 Ok, it's the online matching is the only difference. I was wondering if there were any KW differences with extra maps/modes etc. This is off-topic, sorry, but by the way my PC copy of UAW arrived in the mail today... 99c on ebay plus postage! New... but has the lame UK cover not the giant habitat walker Which idiot thought this would be a better cover that this??? or even this? (I just saw on our own petro forums that it's the german release cover. Weird because the cover has UK all over it!) Share this post Link to post
