Red Alert 3 Beta Patch 1.3 Released

Patch version 1.3 for the Red Alert 3 beta has been made available via the in game auto updater. On the Official Red Alert 3 site, is a list of mirrors for downloading the patch manually. Weighing in at a hefty 890 MB the patch is larger than the actual RA3 beta client!

 

A brief summary of the 1.3 beta patch.

 

This patch for the Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Public Beta brings the beta fully up to date with the development branch. It contains a large number of bug fixes and balance changes. Please use our auto-updater to update your Beta software with the patch, or you can download it manually from your respective regional link above. Please also be aware that after downloading and installing the patch, you may encounter desyncs with people online who have not installed the patch yet. You may only play online games against someone who has already installed the patch. Thank you for understanding and enjoy the patch and comment back on our forums! That's a mammoth patch. Why not just call it a re-release of the beta client.

Effectively it is a Beta Client re-release. Many graphical glitches have been fixed, a lot of the animations have been tweaked, got the new maps as Luk3us said. Along with some engine tweaks, 100's of balances etc... the list goes on an on. Whatever you can think of (and even those you can't) it's likely to have had a change to it in some form or another.

 

As a result of this patch though, I have to say, the game does feel a lot more polished. Only those who have been paying attention will notice the tweaks though.

Definitely giving the this beta a miss now, can't be bothered downloading the client then this patch, it almost 2 GB alone.
