Main Page News Layout Changed

Recommended Posts

Regular visitors to CNCNZ.com would have noticed a small change to the way our news updates are now being displayed. The change was made to reduce the boxed in style the news updates previously appeared in. They are now spaced out a bit more and have larger headlines. The comments link is now located beneath the main body of the news update.

Don't forget there are many ways to get the news from CNCNZ.com. Hit up our main site, visit the Front Page News Forum, Use the RSS News Feed or (assuming your registered on forums) subscribe to the Front Page News Forum and receive e-mail updates. i like the new one better, borders and frames are not so "fancy" any more!

But the headline titles could be dicreased a little!

if you ask me i would like to see more C&C style in this website rather just color and font size changes, maybe some images, some lite backgrounds etc.

I'm going to miss the old layout, I thought old one is better. I also see "Conquering the community for a decade" has changed to "Time To Play The Game".

I like change, unlike many people. But in this particular instance, I have to agree the old layout was better.

Never any pleasing you guys is there!

I think for April fools next year we'll convert the CSS file to show a nice pink colour. Then we'll add content and exlusive pages for the My Little Pony PC Franchise and we may just get the CNCNZ.com to redirect to CNC-MLP.com... in fact we may just make it a permanent fixture, my little cousin enjoys My Little Pony, she can be the tertiary co-webmaster, and what she says, goes!

Let's just thank god Sonic is the founder eh? Cos I'd do it! ;)

While I appreciate the feedback I won't be changing it back. The old style was to boxed in. Space is your friend in this case.

There's plenty of C&C related style and images. The more images you add the slower the site loads.

If you cut the 'comments box' in the bottom and make the Comments link appear at the same line of the news poster name, except that Comments should be right aligned, it would look better than the old layout.

Just my $0.02 ;).

Even then I don't think it would look as good as the old... but it would definitely look better.

Well I'd like it moved it up too. When the comment buttom is at the bottom, it's sometimes confusing which post/story it's connected too.

But I'm a top-heavy person... it's a M$ Word thing I guess.

Alright, even though I said I wouldn't I've changed the news layout again. Its more of compromise of the old style and the new one. Please make sure you refresh/reload the main page to get the updated CSS file.
