Red October RA2 Collector's Edition Wallpaper Contest

Recommended Posts

It's Red October, this means Red Alert 3 gets released later this month. And guess what we have another contest for you. Since we have gone contest crazy this month we must give away a copy of the massively popular Red Alert 2. If your getting the Red Alert 3 Premier Edition why not partner it with the extremely hard to find Red Alert 2 Collector's Edition. Originally released all the way back in 2000, the Red Alert Collector's Edition, which is no longer sold in stores, is a true collectors item. It features an embossed foil game box, a hand crafted pewter figurine, the Red Alert 2 soundtrack on CD, collector's edition DVD, a copy of Red Alert 2 of course, and the box is individually numbered as well. This box has never been opened in the 8 years since the release of the game, its been sealed for that long!

To get your hands on the prize you have be creative, use your artistic skills and create the best Red Alert 3 themed wallpaper you possibly can. We will even help you get started by supplying you with the official Red Alert 3 fonts and the Red Alert 3 logo.

This contest begins right now and runs right up to the end of October, closing on Friday, October 31st. Get your entries in because the Red Alert 2 Collector's Edition is the ultimate companion to go with the new Red Alert 3 Premier Edition.

All the qualifying entries will go on display inside the CNCNZ.com Image Gallery. To enter and get all the important details this contest click here.

Wow, I am going to make my first wallpaper just for this! It will be crappy, but man, a Collector's Edition of one of my favourite games is enough reason to embarrass myself :D

I think I got one of those when they were released all that time ago. I still have my pr0 tesla trooper! ^_^

The RA2CE I purchased in 2000 came with Tesla Trooper. Then Westwood sent me 5-6 copies of the RA2CE around the time of the RA2 release that year, I kept one for myself because it was better than the original RA2CE released in NZ. Once again I got the Tesla Trooper. I was hoping to get the Chrono Legionnaire.

So I have no idea what figurine is inside the RA2CE that someone will win. This copy of the RA2CE is either one that was sent to me by Westwood or the copy APOC sent to me in 2006 along with a copy of the First Decade pack and TS Platinum Edition. Either way its been sealed for 8 years.

I wish they had brought back the Pewter Figurines for the RA3 Premier Edition.... that would be cool!

Sounds cool, but I don't have the patience to make a high quality wallpaper. I did work on a picture for six hours straight once, after that, I basically promised myself I would never again allow myself to get that involved in artwork. On a computer anyway... I don't have any limits on my work done on paper.

I imagine once Red Alert 3 kicks in we'll have many forms of Franchise like mugs, T-shirts, posters etc. There's always a dark horse "collectable" somewhere as well. Like for C&C 3, it was Kane's "Nod Ring". A great rarity in many ways given that they were mass produced. But some people have got hold of one ;)

I can think of a few "novelty items" they can make out of Tanya. Heck out of half the female cast. hahhahhahaha.

But I would like a nice Soviet Mug. ^_^
