I've got the game in a .zip file somewhere on one of my many backup CDs I have accumulated over the years. But I think I threw that away cos it was scratched, and never was gonna play it again anyway.

darn x-x; there goes one way of game recovery. i guess we'll have to rely on detailed google searches in hope that someone uploaded it, or maybe someone having made a torrent of it ._.; either way we're pretty much screwed... second the servers died everyone threw it away pretty much :\ arg... also i can't play on RA2/YR online anymore cos it's asking for a sign in name and password and it won't accept the ones i used to use D: asks for me to sign up or something an when i click the buttons it says it can't get to it then cancels again ; eh... darn... ah well. i'm sure there is some work around for it, and no doubt i'll look into it over time o.o; but whatever xD

Back on topic, I'm back. I finally finished RA3 today after RL spread the experience.

 

I just typed out a whole bunch of experiences, but I guess I'll type them elsewhere... so as not to spoil anyone.

...wow that was so retarded saracen. i mean really, do you even HAVE eyes. that girl could choose between actress, model or porn star and be a success in any of them o-O personally i'd pick just about anyone over the new allied eva. she is BEYOND annoying. beyond the obvious SARGEANT stripes and the awful uniform (i know it's meant to be every boys little fantasy, but let's have some tact here. would -any- of the uniforms for any of the factions be that perverted? the british female officers in WW2 had skirts sure. but they went like, down to the knee. they had blazers and shirts with ties or those strange little fluffy bowtie style things on... so what is with all the clevage and legs? it's pure eye candy >->)

 

...anyway sticking with the point i was trying to make. i have seen high school preppy cheerleaders who are less annoying then her. was she even acting? i really hope so. if not i have a strong desire to go postal... i don't care how hot she is, if she has a personality that makes me want to pimp slap her back to the stoneage everytime she says something, it's not gonna work out xD

 

i have to say though, that random russian general... the young one with the spikey military-esque hair cut. anyone got any info on him? i didn't catch his character name so i can't look him up in the cast list... and he was freakin' HOT and wasn't really annoying at all considering the cliche accents in that game xD i would totally hit that up 83

Mishkin? Yeah he was ace, not over the top like say Lissette, the lusty (is that the right word?) Allied commander who probably reads romance novels of handsome officers. But yeah if you want realism then most war games do not even have women. Big kudos to the ones that do, and feature them realistically. Still, a friend saw the game and saw one of the images for Zhana, he pretty much sat up and begged for buttermilk, so EA must be doing something right.

like i've said before, the red alert games are just one big boy's fantasy xD but yah let's be honest, in modern(ish) war sims women rarely have a role beyond comm systems and such. i'm sure somewhere along the line we'll end up with female generals and such (starship troopers anyone? XD) but let's not get our hopes up...

I much preferred RA3 Dasha to RA2 Zophia. Apart from her 'obvious' costume, she played the role pretty straight up and down. I don't recall any flirtations dialog, just patriotic pride at working with the commander. Whereas the allied gals dialog was flat and uninteresting.

 

Because Dasha wasn't interested in me, I was more interested in her.

 

As co-commanders, I enjoyed everybody. Maybe Vanessa Branch is the only exception, only because she has no memorable scenes. I guess I'll replay the game as see what happens after 2nd experience.

the allied eva in RA3 drove me abso-friggin-lutely nuts. she is so prep it makes me wanna try. whilst i was playing co-op with a friend, i was on skype with him the whole time. so instead of only chatting in-game by pressing a key, we were constantly yakking through game, loading screens, menus and videos. after the first few seconds of seeing preppy-eva on screen, we were both in full-on rant mode... in one of the missions (i'm guessing the russian) i remember her yelling at us and saying something along the lines of "well like, yah. whatever! i can like, totally defeat you! next time!" and we just doubled over crying tears of laughter and pain...

 

none of the females in this game really drew me in with their acting. i mean yes, they did have some level of personality behind the characters... but they just weren't really like... kinda boring... i can't even remember anything that "tanya" said the whole game. in all honesty the only characters i can really remember in the whole game are tim curry, george takei, the japanese prince, the president, the british commander guy (cos he reminded me of my grandpa or something x3; ) and the crazy scientist (because i've seen another movie with either him or a guy exactly like him in it playing a crazy scientist o.O)

 

all i know is right now takei is having a VERY high rate of popularity (in the uk anyway) what with RA3 and him being in "i'm a celebrity, get me out of here" which is currently on about day 18. he almost got voted out last night (luckily the other guy went - brian. he's was the (gay) chief of the metropolitan police and he ran for london mayor. he went on the show cos he's so used to doing serious jobs and talking about depressing things so he wanted something "trivial" which led to and & dec complaining that this "trivial" show was their jobs... XD)

 

but yah, takei hasn't really been doing too much so far. he's done a bushtucker trial (he had to go in an ostrich pen and move stars around a little bar to get them out. did it with someone else) aaand a couple of mini "immunity" trials at the start... (him and two others had to basically hold a metal loop over a bar. if it touched the bar, it bleeped loudly and a light went out. 3 lights out = bye bye. he was the first out of that. probably would have been easier but random noises were being played and they were trying to taunt eachother xD)

 

but considering he is -71- he's doing very well. he really doesn't look it. nice dark black hair on his head (even if it's thinning a little x3; ) and he's in GREAT shape. and he's also learnt a common cockeny rude playground song from joe swash, and loves it to death. which means he's now going to be remembered by the british youth as "that asian guy with a funny accent who sang olly olly olly" XD

 

i think he's gonna be going out tomorrow. so baw ; - ;
