So yes, I plan to lessen my presence here for the next few weeks. I'll skip over some thread headers, but I'm refusing to listen to Hell March 3, the new trailers etc until I get to play entirely the RA3 storyline... and besides I know I can't trust everyone to be nice to me.

 

I know nobody cares... but I just thought I would mention it.

I'll probably try to do a wallpaper still - it's a fabulous prize!!!

But yeah, Take Sonic's Advice ignore the front page, and a few other little forums. All RA3 stuff will get moved out of here if it pops up anyway.

 

Though at this point I think I already know a little too much/can piece together a few things. I guess surprises aren't the thing these days. Alas.

i'm trying to avoid it for the exact same reason... but quite frankly i'm still worried about actually installing RA3 cos of the securi-rom thing... that scares the bejesus out of me D:

 

also - WHAAAAAAT? wallpaper? o.o as in a wallpaper for RA3? o-o if you can actually draw, i have some requests of piccies i'd like if you wouldn't mind too much ^-^ *smiles innocently* actually now you mention it i've got a -great- idea for a picture o.o

all of the main CNCNZ forum posters in one bigass group pic ^^ i'd love to see someone try it... i'm kinda tempted to do it myself actually o.o

i've attempted pictures like that before... i did one with all my old friends in xD a full A4 page for each character (or a couple of i could squeeze them in) then i'd edit it all together in photoshop and colour it as i went along xD it was pretty awesome. the downside of this was it took -forever- to draw... and by the time i got half of it done, half a dozen people in the centre of the picture REALLY screwed me over, to the point i got so upset with them we ended up breaking contact. which kinda sucks... but y'know, hopefully that won't happen with the forum people... when arguements get serious the mods step in :3

Somewhat related to RA3. But you were stating you were giving the forums a miss for awhile. It wasn't really discussing any aspect of the game so the thread got moved.

It doesn't happen all the time, but I do recall a few occacasions where I have read a post before you* have, so while I trust your due-diligence in cleaning up the forums, I just don't trust you to get there first.

it's pretty hard to dodge spoilers when posting on a forum based around the whole thing >.>; but i'd say we're doing well. we're both still rather clueless about most of the game xD i'm not sure if i'd wanna go ahead and actually order it in advance though... especially not some extra flash version... 1) the game could turn out to be utterly AWFUL and you might regret buying it, what with so many amazing games coming out soon... 2) the extra stuff might be really lame and pointless... so far i've only seen a few decent collector's edition games out there. one of the halos came with like, a mini spartan mask or something... and world in conflict's collector's came with a piece of the berlin wall o_o which i wanted SO FREAKING BADLY but they were sold out of them when i went there :\ so i had to get the regular version... which is ashame because i am a major war history nut and i would have freaking idolized that wall piece. even if it was just a piece of concrete that the company poured, spraypainted on then chipped chunks off of... as far as i knew, it would be a peice of the wall ._. so i'd love to have it XD ah well... even so the only real, decent collector's packs i like are when they have physical 3D objects with them... a metal case is a good start... but just stuff like posters and maybe an art book or whatever is a little disappointing. artbooks for certain games are good though... (the comic/artbook that came with the medal of honor games were pretty kickass o.o) but i'll be honest i'm not impressed with the stuff that came with the Spore special edition at all... a couple of dvds, both which were going to be shown on tv a month later... a tiny poster which was like, A4 sized... a hardback art book (real pretty but i'm not interested in the companies boring monsters enough to read through it) aaand a bigass help guide. which should really be supplied with ALL the game versions as it's somewhat helpful/important info you damnwell need >_>

 

but yah if RA3 has a kickass collector's edition i'd probably buy it just for that o.o Game.co.uk promised that if you ordered C&C3 special edition within a certain time period they'd throw in a limited edition t-shirt for free... unfortunately mom messed me about for a couple of hours and the time simply ran out by the time she ordered :\ i was greatly disappointed.

I've ordered and paid for my Premier Edition already, weeks ago in fact. I'm also getting the FarCry 2 Collector's Edition on the same day as RA3

I 2nd that wholeheartedly... I played a Skirmish Game of Kane's Wrath today because I'm losing the will to wait patiently for Red Alert 3, and forgot how entirely pants the gameplay is in comparison. Now I'm close to becoming a hyped up wreck, and want RA3 more than ever!

well that sounds promising anyway. but i'd rather wait and see for myself... had a look at the box contents... pretty much all that stuff is extra stuff added on the disc, 90% of it i couldn't give a toss about xD; the last two things caught my attention a little. the beta key to a C&C game (tiberium?) and a warhammer online item... that and the numbered game case. but they said that about the C&C3 special edition, that every single one of those games would have a numbered code on it. mine didn't... none of them in Game did. yet another "only america" thing... but bleh... i'm not bothered about seeing video interviews or things like that which you could probably easily find on the main site here. i'd rather see special background artwork on the vehicles and weapons... or some kind of physical, solid collector's item. i mean it could be anything... a little tank, a lifesize rifle cartridge created for one of the guns... flags of the sides... bleh... those little physical props made the collector's edition games WAY cooler o.o eh go figure though. EA... i'm still not expecting much with this game... that way i can't be disappointed, only happily surprised ^^;

You need to play catch up with the news Mina, Tiberium was cancelled. Its history. So that won't what the beta key will be for.

 

In the end the RA3 Premier Edition is way better then the Kane Edition of C&C 3. Plus it what's on the actual game DVD that counts

yeah... i actually happened to discover that tiberium was cancelled earlier today D: i was so disappointed. i also read up on the continuum MMORPG that got cancelled when westwood was taken over. which is such a shame because it sounded amazing... and renegade 2 being cancelled a few years back. but that i expected somewhat and wasn't too bothered about when it happened... but ARG EA has to screw up everything T-T; go figure. it's so disappointing... i wish EA would go and make a C&C MMORPG and -keep- it running. sole survivor looked excellent but when i went to play it all the servers an stuff were down :\ an continuum never existed ;-; baw...

pish. it looked freaking awesome even if it was bad o.o you control a single unit and upgrade it with crates and have to fight off other players xD it looked hella fun. the only downside is i was a little late to actually play the game >_> when i tried to play it, all the servers were down... but the website was still up at the time so i had a chance to read about what i missed out on ^^; that was depressing xD

yah me too ;-; C&C: continuum sounds just as good. i mean a whole freakin C&C MMO D: that would have been so AWESOME! eh go figure though... it's a shame. all the best games get shot down before they get a chance to blossom :\

I wonder... there's a LAN patch for TD/RA and SS is built on TD so theoretically, it should work with it too. If not, it's all IPX and **** that, IPX blows.

good question. i had some kind of trial version on my C&C game set thing... but i don't think it would even run. i s'pose i could get it by less legal means... though it wouldn't be that illegal seeing as they don't sell it anywhere anymore o.O but y'know, i'm not gonna provide links or anything cos that would get me in trouble 8D find your own methods for attaining stuff xD
