Sonic 296 Posted October 21, 2008 I really enjoyed the original Far Cry back in 2004, it came out of nowhere and was released way before the hugely hyped Doom 3 and Half-Life 2. In some areas it could be considered a better game. So here we are in 2008 and Far Cry 2 is out next week. Anyone getting it? I've pre-ordered the collectors edition. Check the trailer below. Saracen 16 Posted October 21, 2008 I'm buying Red Alert 3 and Valkyria Chronicles at the end of the month. Strategy titles come first, so games like Far Cry 2 and Fallout 3 will have to wait. To be honest, both games are not too high on my wishlist... There's Need For Speed Undercover on the 14th Nov as well.... So I'm pretty tight on the budget. Share this post Link to post

Mina Synd 0 Posted October 21, 2008 well it's got my attention... but once again it's added to the ever-growing list of kickass games coming out. i'll just have to wander down to Game with some money and get the things i want the most out of what they have and what is out. i didn't see what systems it was on... i'll probably only buy it if it comes out on pc... i'm not a big fan of console games that much anymore... i'd much rather use a mouse and keyboard then a thumbstick xD Share this post Link to post

Mina Synd 0 Posted October 23, 2008 yah... it does look a lil cliche of about a zillion movies. but it hasn't been done that many times in games... especially not one in that setting. i've seen -very- few games in africa... most of the time similar games are either in apocalyptic future settings ala fallout or war based... or cities or just generally other enviroments... so methinks it'll be on my gaming list :3 the first farcry looked a lil tacky... also on a random note, i heard there was a farcry movie in production o.o i think michael bay was directing it... so don't get excited XD chances are it's gonna be painful >-> Share this post Link to post

Directed by Uwe Boll, the butcher of all video games to movies. Details here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0400426/. Based on fan reaction its a real stinker. If you have seen old movies like Universal Soldier, Far Cry follows the same sort of plot. So far the movie has only been release in Germany I think. Udo Kier (aka Yuri) is in it though. Commando is one of my favourite movies of all time XD and it has udo in it <3 i mean i know most of boll's movies suck ass but a lot of them are entertaining to watch if you watch them as standalone movies (not working on the plot of the games. like we had to do with resi evil xD) but yah i knew it was one of three directors... i was chatting about them with a friend on skype and i just couldn't remember which one was directing the movie xD i think i'll watch this on tv when it's released in the uk in english... aaan if it's entertaining enough i might even buy it x3 what can i say... i love b-movies. ed wood is my hero XD Share this post Link to post
