I saw that when I logged into steam today. Pretty neat deal, though...how many people don't have a copy of Half-Life...somewhere?

I think I played a demo of one of those games at some point... But that was so long ago, when I was terribly poor. :P hahahha And couldn't afford to buy nothing anyway.

I've played Garry's Mod, I know Half-Life was bigger than Halo...

Thanks for the heads up... I never played the original HL because HL2 was good enough for me. Now here's a good reason to go through the whole series again!

Its a game from 1998. It would have been awesome if you played it then. :P

i guess either to give them to friends or incase he got the online download and doesn't wanna run out of installs? XD also you can get EVERY SINGLE VALVE GAME for $100 o.o including L4D which to say the least is impressive. the amount of titles there... i mean most of the games are old ones but there are a lot of new ones... like the latest HL2 ones... portal... TF2 and so on o.o i mean if you worked out the price for all those games seperately it would cost over $300 o.o

so if you haven't got any of the steam games before and are temped, that is an EXCELLENT deal =O but for people like me who have bought lots of things already... kinda pointless unless you want doubles :\

yah HL1 was excellent for it's time... but now the graphics are dated. not massively so... i mean they are better then FF7, but nowhere near today's standards... has lots and lots of mods too... i mean LOTS... including brainbread (zombie mod with classic zombies and different bosses. has about 10 levels and they do have some order but most people don't take notice or know. the control system was pretty complex and you generally had to have it explained to you cos it never told you the controls anywhere... the mod title is a rip on "braindead", a zombie horror comedy by peter jackson in his early years. one of those notorious movies for having over the top gore and grossout scenes. lots of memorable things such as the lawnmower scene... the baby scenes and the kung fu priest "i kick arse for the lord!" XD) aaand the revolution mod (americans vs british. that mod was pretty lulworthy. it was well done but on more then one occassion you would find yourself screaming curse words none stop because your first musket shot missed and you're in a combination of running, hiding and trying to reload whilst half a dozen guys chase you with swords and shoot at you xD)

i'm pretty sure most of the mods done for HL1 have been redone and improved for HL2... but there are just so many mods. you can generally find one for everything... that and counter strike are some of the most modded games ever o.o;

so yah, HL1 is worth getting if only for all the mods x3 so really you're paying 98c for a good 5 - 20+ games... depending how many mods you like and have the tolerance for dodgy graphics...

the story was pretty original too. and was the PERFECT game to have a LHC tested XD especially by a scientist that happens to look like the main character... XDDDD you couldn't even make that shizz up x3;
