People...Is it just me or RA3 is...

Recommended Posts

Sucks beyond imagination. At first I can't wait to play the game. Watch the intro and made my blood boils. And I like the soviet theme in the menu and how EA makes RA3 a bit retro.

However though the horror begins when playing the game, this is what I found to be the most amusing in RA3:

1. THE ACTORS, WTF a BIT*** is doing in the screen. You know, I don't mind with that sexy outfit, but please, the actor really like se* mo*** actors. With all those stupid way of talking, especially Tanya. Where the FU** is the tomboy Tanya, this girl here in RA3 wears an eye-whatever-they-say-cosmetics and make her looks like a stupid goth bit*** that somehow slip on the battlefield. Oh God it sucks a lot.

2. The graphic, howdy, it looks like I'm entering a time machine and going back to to the 90s. The background texture is cool, but the unit and buildings are, ARGHHHHHHHHHH, beyond horrible. Admit it, graphic is an important factor to make a game enjoyable. Even RA2 graphic I personally think is better to fit for RA franchise. Just what the he** is with RA3 with all of those toy-like graphics

3. Gameplay, this one doesn't sucks a lot. There new things here and there like the co-op, but hell I think the gameplay doesn't meet the CnC standard.

This is the first time I ever disapointed when playing CnC games.....CnC generals might sucks but I still like it, but RA3.......hell no

1. I agree that the actors, or more so the costume designs and make up, were awful.

2. The units were somewhat peculiar looking.

3. There are a few discrepancies.

But I wouldn't go so far as to say RA3 sucks. I was much more disappointed with C&C 3 and Kane's Wrath. Generals didn't disappoint me except for the C&C label they slapped onto it. They have room for improvement, a lot of room, but I don't think RA3 was a complete catastrophe.

Its just you. In the end I don't care if you like the game or not. Moaning about it here won't make it a better gaming experience for you though.

The actors and the actual acting is major step forward over C&C 3 and Kane's Wrath. I never had any problems with their appearance, sounds like you being overly critical and to picky.

If your playing on low details, yeah RA3 looks bad, very bad. What settings are playing at anyway? On max settings at 1680 x 1050 RA3 looks great!

I play on 1024x768 on medium details and RA3 is one of the most visually appealing games I have played to date.

Except some blurry textures, the pixelated shadows and the low-poly models, the game looks great, especially in the effects, animation, normal map and diversity front. You need at least 4*AA though to see it in the desired quality.

As for the comicality, RA2 was no different.

And the gameplay? Heck, it's much more strategic and satisfying as any other CnC before. It only needs building upgrades and some secondary credit income and you got a pretty deep experience.

I thought the FMV scenes were great. The only thing i didnt like about the look of the game were the tank designs. Tsunami tank was ok because its a bit weird in the first place, but in my opinion the hammer, apocalypse and to some extent the guardian tank look pretty bad. Their RA2 counterparts looked so much better.

1) Needs more boobs tbh, just erradicate any male cast members and replace them with talking boobs. :)

2) Grahpics are a "jump" away from the level they were in TW/KW. Whilst they are different they aren't bad once you get use to them.

3) Gameplay is great. And no it doesn't meet the C&C standard. Which is good. Mindless spamming of tanks is shallow which is what most previous C&C games were all about.

I will never hire you as a design consultant. If someday, I accidently offer you such job, remind me that I said this.

1) Seems like the direction was to attract the public with great (hollywood actors) names, deliberate comical amateur acting and dialogue so that even the dummies could understand the storyline without going "what was that?", and lots of boobs and actions that contain some form of sexual hints to draw teenage kids.

2) I am also surprised by the overly colorful and overly bright units and structures. But it is all these 3D cartoony things that make RA3 more unique than the rest of the franchise.

3) There could be better gameplay. But thanks to marketing and big corporations and the concept of money milking, the concept of "better gameplay" has been broken down to the main title and the following series of new experimental booster packs A.K.A. expansion sets. So we will have the expansion set with story and new units, the second will focus on multiplayer, the third, maybe more boobs to attract more whiny nerdy teenage kids to be part of the community?
