Two New Actors for Red Alert 3: Uprising

Recommended Posts

Gaming website, Eurogamer, has recently conducted an interview with Holly Valance who will be playing News Reporter Brenda Snow. Also mentioned in the interview was another actor in the new Red Alert 3 expansion, Malcolm McDowell whom will be playing the United States President. Holly Valance is most well known as an Australian singer/actor. Whilst Malcolm McDowell has stared in numerous television series and movies.

Holly Valance and Malcolm McDowell

Here is a snippet of the interview.

Eurogamer: Thanks. Now we've got that out of the way, what exactly is your role in Red Alert 3?

Holly Valance: I play a news reporter called Brenda Snow. She's investigating a research facility that might be doing some dodgy business, and thinks perhaps the president's involved. I interview him walking down a red carpet. It's a camp, over-dramatised character, it's not too serious. It was fun to go a little bit over the top.

Eurogamer: Did you do a lot of method preparation for the role?

Holly Valance: I watched about nine versions of the news every day. I have a newfound respect for newsreaders, because reading off the auto-prompter is not as easy as I thought - especially when you're blind as a bat. I kept saying, "Can you make the font larger? Yep, larger again... A little more..." It's difficult. They do a tough job, and they're doing it live.

Holly Valance is hot, but I haven't seen anything she's acted in.

I remember Malcolm McDowell from Star Trek Generations, in which I think he did pretty good.

hahahaha

Oh geez, that's pretty lame. Holly Valance, hah. Neighbours is such a rubbish show, I wish the UK stopped liking it so they could finally axe it over here.

She was in that DOA movie which i was forced to watch onetime, pretty stupid and recently she was in Taken, the Liam Neeson (Qui-gon gin, Players father in Fallout 3) but was pretty much playing herself, a singer who needed bodyguards.

Malcom will be awesome no matter what he does, holly valance, well, I'll try block it out.

Wow, just like back in Tiberium Wars again, I think.

Anyway, Holly does bring back that news reporter back in TW. But as for Malcolm, I wonder, I thought David Hasselhoff the Vice President supposed to be taking over as the new US President after the end of the Allied campaign since technically Uprising continues after the Allied Campaign itself (As well as after the death of President Ackermann). What's going on? I'm confused & screeched on the road on this part. *question marks on head*

Wow, that is a surprise for me.

Good to see Holly Valance in this one. Saw her in some shows/films and I used to enjoy her songs back then. Hopefully her role in this expansion as a reporter doesn't get too boring.

Malcolm McDowell a.k.a. Mr Linderman from Heroes!? Wonder how an English actor will be like portraying an American President in RA3?

Can't wait to see what other new casts are coming in!

As Silverthorn mentioned, I am also a bit confused as to what happened with Hasslehoff. I guess he didn't want to do it, so they're going to just have him assassinated the first day in office?

Or maybe the Soviets will go back in time and...

No. Just no.

Well, maybe Hasselhoff turned out to be another robot.

BTW, I'm flabbergasted that you all remember McDowell from Heroes and Star Trek and you overlook the one work that made him famous: Alex in The Clockwork Orange, FFS!

Doh! I was really looking forward to Hasselhoff as the President...

Maybe Holly couldn't read the name badge properly - and it was actually PREMIERE!

:)
