RA3 Patch 1.07 Balance Change Proposal

APOC has posted the Red Alert 3 Patch 1.07 Balance Change Proposal notes in a thread on the Offical C&C Forums. Patch 1.07 has been confirmed that it is in production but it doesn't have a release date just yet. These patch notes are not 100% finalised either. Read through them and share your feedback.

  • The range bonus applied to infantry in garrisons reduced to 25% (was 100%).
  • Aircraft Return To Base speed boost reduced to 25% from 50%.
  • Allied Vindicator speed reduced to 150 from 180.
    Allied Vindicator health reduced to 250 from 350.
    Allied Vindicator reload time increased by 50%
  • Allied Apollo speed reduced to 170 from 250.
    Allied Apollo now twice as vulnerable to attack from units other than the Mig, Tengu, and other Apollos.
    Allied Apollo ammo reduced by 25%.
  • Allied Century Bomber reload time increased by 50%
  • Allied Multigunner Turret (ungarrisoned) damage versus infantry reduced by 50%.
  • Japan Burst Drone vulnerability to FLAK & AUTO_CANNON damage reduced by 25%.
  • Japan Imperial Warrior armor penalty while Bonzai Charging removed.
  • Japan Balloon Bomb reload time now increases based on its level.
  • Japan Final Squadron reload time now increases based on its level.
  • Japan Enhanced Kamikaze damage done to friendly units reduced by 50%
  • Japan Defender-VX base defense unpack time halved.
    Japan Defender-VX base defense transform cool-down time reduced to 2 seconds from 15.
  • Japan Jet Tengu speed reduced to 160 from 200.
  • Japan structure health (Barracks, WF, NY) now increase with tech level. (Amount TBD).
  • Soviet Bullfrog Man-Cannon launched unit travel speed increased.
  • Soviet Conscript gun damage doubled.
  • Soviet MiG speed reduced to 170 from 225.
    Soviet MiGs now twice as vulnerable to attack from units other than the Mig, Tengu, and other Apollos.

This is the only one I don't approve of. I think multigunner turrets (ug) suck enough vs infantry as is, making them totally useless will only prove to be a micromanagement nuisance.

Yeah that is my limited experience too.

I noticed the allies planes seem to recharge quickly though, I didn't mind though!

About time air force where nerfed a little. Why i say this is at the moment it takes 4 defender turrets in Air Destoyer mode to kill ONE Vind just before it gets out of range (turrets in a line 3/4 cell apart, Vind flies across middle). Most aircraft move in so quickly they almost always make there attacks before they die to ground-based AA. The only way to stop them is to create a excessive amount of AA, both air and ground. As for the Conscript buff? a bit OTT but welcome, due to Allied PK have multi target hitting guns, and EotRS have overall powerful troopers, it helps the reds deal with early infantry argo and engineer rushes. As for muiligunner turrets, adding a PK makes them very powerful Vs grouped infantry, and they deal more damage the closer the enermy gets. Lasty I would like to see a optoin to disable Super Weapons AND support powers, as it really pissies me off when a large force is crippled due to 1 unstopable attack. TW and Generals had this problem as a player could turtle, then pound his/her/its oppents with ease just but clicking a few powers and a SW or 2. I.E. Allied combo: dump a lvl2 or 3 cryo shot, then use a time bomb and presision stike the bomb to blow it, and ta-da you just cause a shed load of damage with minamal effort.

True, increasing the basic gunner turret's damage vs infantry would be a better thing to do.

Well it's been more than 4 weeks without an official release. I wonder what happened? RA3 Uprising development???? :huh:

Patches take time and have to be thoroughly tested and checked before being released. Is the game broken? Does that game not work without patch 1.07? Of course not. It will be done when its done.
