Rumour: James Horan to Appear in Command & Conquer 4

Recommended Posts

C&C Russia have found out that James Horan is one of the first actors to be announced as part of the live action cast for Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. Of course this is completely unconfirmed and still just a rumour. James Horan is an American character actor who has appeared in many television programs, films and has also done lots of work in the video game industry. Most recently he did voice work for Batman: Arkham Asylum.

In Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight it is believed that he will play some sort of GDI official/council member.

But, I don't know him. :P

I guess EA are finally putting their money into something useful, like THE GAME, instead of wasting it on big fancy actors and actresses.

Exactly, and hopefully they keep it that way. We don't need to see big names, famous faces and in your face "assets" like we got in RA3. Just good solid character actors is all that is need for C&C 4.

Actually this is kinda old news by now. I have no idea who he is anyways. As long as he doesn't act in some overdramatic manner, I'm fine with it.

Well, I don't know about that, they can always afford some "regular" "assets" for C&C4 ^_^ ^_^ ^_^

But no, they should stick with this trend, randoms that can deliver a half decent performance. ;)

I remember him from a TNG episode, not bad.

I read that he has done a lot of video game work lately, though mostly voice acting, but it that should be a plus nonetheless.

Hopefully more names will leak soon.

Too bad there's no confirmation of who else is acting in C&C4. But just remember why Sam Bass said something about having EALA hiring low-end talented people.

... low-end talented person.

Well low end talent is better than no talent.

This is great news, if EA is pursuing this approach. We want actors that can deliver new, convincing characters instead of "hey it's that hot chick that can't act..."

Just remember that Joe Kucan wasn't known as an actor before he played Kane. We need more of that; new characters played by unfamiliar actors that we identify as those characters specifically. It feels more real and convincing, and less "acted."

Ahh, now that is one part that makes me happy, they finally put the serious acting to good use. Really? I'm tired with the Hollywood showoffs as they should put most of the budgets for something else like our special edition goodies & CGI. *

Although no confirmation of the casts, but I'm sure APOC will bring the list out soon but not too early. The only exception I can allow EA to hire is John Cena, after all, he is the WWE C&C fan we know and he should deserve a spot after EA hired Ric Flair.

* PLEASE, enough with those who against me that I repeat the whole CGI thing all over again. Why not use the concept of ignoring?! If you hate my CGI part, if you read it on purpose or by accident, then just keep your expression to meh & ignore the whole thing rather than say it out loud in the open!

No other famous names or faces are needed for this game. Only Joe Kucan as Kane. There's your recognisable actor right there. I could live with John Cena being in a Red Alert game due its not so serious and over acted FMVs. Cena (like Ric Flair) would work in an RA game, not a Tiberium Universe game. Especially with the style they are aiming for with C&C 4.

In regards to use of constantly bringing up the fact they don't CGI facilities at EALA. How do you know they don't. You have the facts all twisted around. Its a non-issue so just stop trying to discuss it because its not important.

That's alright, even though John Cena may not make it in C&C4 but can be just a GDI commando. But anyway, it's EA's choice.

For that CGI part, I know it's not important, it's just I don't want people to suddenly put in the whole Google system that Gben did with this post, http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?s=&s...st&p=170152 . I don't feel like the need of reporting that post, but I find that very rude when they are messing around with me. I can say CGI as many times as I want, but I won't go super talkative on about that here and there like any trolls, or perhaps that school vehicle guy which I'm sure we know who. That's why the "ignoring my CGI" suggestion is the gold nugget to grab to those who are not interested in listening.

John Cena will be best suited in a Generals Universe as Colonel Burton, better than being a commander in the RA universe.

I do not mind the choice of John Cena being Colonel Burton, hopefully Cena retains his hair rather than being bold like Burton is. But anyway, it depends on how EA decides, but I still prefer the Generals universe to stay dead because there's nothing new to continue as well as do you know how controversial that universe is, not to mention China is not accepting that universe, no matter how you tweak their faction.

The words John Cena and acting, shouldn't be used in the same sentence.

No, no, no, no.

The only POSSIBLE game he could be in would be Red Alert 4. His acting, or lack there of, is horrible, and just a joke to watch. :) I'd cry. :o

I was surprised (and glad) when we learned that Carl Lumbly was cast as Brother Marcion in Kane's Wrath. But after playing the game and watching the FMVs, I was a little disappointed.

And if you watch my post above, I seemed pretty positive when I first read this news.

To my point: I just hope history won't repeat itself.

Disappointed with Carl... or the FMV's in general?

Because my only disappointment was how short his participation was. I was hoping for a more epic tussle for control of the brotherhood.

For me, the cast isn't much of my interest in KW, it's the seriousness that I don't find it very well played. It's not much fun just like I watched those FMVs back in Tiberian Sun & Firestorm.
