Lady GaGa video mentions Tiberium!

Rather than putting this in the Video of the Day thread, this is actually something you'll be really puzzled at. :o

 

It appears some CNC websites (including CNC Maps) mentioned about this. The word "Tiberium" will appear somewhere around 7:00 of the video when she mentioned the list of food items to poison those people. This music video may soon capture some attention to some people and not everybody knows what Tiberium really is. This is good for CNC fans and players.

 

 

I wonder if she ever get permission from EA to use this word? She must have gotten involved in CNC and use that Tiberium idea to describe this. Oh, the humanity.... I guess Lady Gaga didn't s**k at going for CNC material anyway, except for part of the music.

 

Warning: This video contains mature content. Last time I tried viewing the video it requires me to log in because of age. You need to be at least 18 to see the video. Too bad for young CNC guys who wanted to see this.

So why shouldn't EA get in on the deal too? If they had nothing to do with this, she is giving them free advertising conveniently close to the release of C&C4.

I really think someone should add a list of references in the video. Aside from the obvious, like the Pussy Wagon, the more notable one is the list of poisons used: There's one from Dune (Meta-Cyanide), one from Star Wars (Fex-M3) and one from Commander & Conquer (Tiberium). They're pretty notable trivia and are clear-cut intentional.

Tiberium is a much more significant substance in its universe than Fex-M3 or Meta-cyanide, so you don't have to have ever heard of the other two to still get the Tiberium reference.

Then there is C&C4 coming out very soon...

 

I do not believe EA was behind it, but I think it is very possible, and very coincidental if they had nothing to do with it.

Still you misstated the part that this music is way beyond pop music, it's pop rap. I have seen an increase of rap music lately and really I did not like rap in general because it ruins the melody of the music. We all know you don't like pop music after all.
