We are now entering key phase in our community. Its the time between C&C games. So how do we keep things rolling while we wait to see what the future of C&C has in store for us? With Command & Conquer modding news from around our community of course! You can help us expand on our Command & Conquer 365 news coverage by joining the CNCNZ.com staff as a part of our special news team and keep the community updated and informed about what's happening in the Command & Conquer modding community and much more.

 

So what we are basically doing here is calling for some much needed back up to build on our news coverage to include more modding news. People who would be interested should obviously be interested in the modding side of things or follow the development of C&C based mods. There will some stuff to learn as you get started but if you can post on a forum you can post news on CNCNZ.com. Its really that easy. Anyone interested in joining the CNCNZ.com staff can simply reply in this news thread and we will take it from there. There are hidden perks and benefits to being on the CNCNZ.com team, to find out what they are.... well, you'll just have join us and contribute.

I have an established presence in the big modding places, such as Freedom, Revora, PPM, and RenegadeProjects. I can relay any news that hits their site to here, which should help with the news.

I'm interested. I am the leader of the Renegade X team, former staff and leader of C&C Reborn, I've helped a bit with Apocalypse Rising, etc. And I think this is a great idea - we're entering the second hibernation period in the C&C community, and just as mods helped hold up the community between Renegade and C&C3, I think we can do it again.

I am interested in posting C&C news as well as CNC modding news. However due to the impact of the CNC community diminishing after C&C4, modding will be pretty much limited to new updates. Things may be improving in the CNC modding community but we are still waiting for the custom KW Mod SDK by Lauren (aka Asuka) to be released.

Since Renegade X is one of the few mods I actually care about, it would be interesting to have its leader be on the news team... but does this mean your future prospects have changed since you wrote this?

 

I think after 15 years of me being in the C&C fan, and about 8 years of being a community member (mods, clans, tournaments, etc.) I'll be done with C&C after Renegade X is fully done.

I'm not fully sure yet. I think in context, I was talking about modding/clanning/tournaments - being active in the community in general. I'll still be here to follow C&C news (especially if things pick up in the scene), and if I get on the team, posting C&C news as well... but generally speaking Renegade X is my last real endeavour in Command & Conquer.

All staff who have access to post news direct to our main page and to the Command & Conquer 365 - News forum have a policy that must be read, understood, and followed. Its just a simple set of rules that have been put into effect for many years now. If your picked you will get to read this policy and a whole bunch of other stuff.

That's up to gben really. But he can as a moderator. All of the moderators have access to post news on the main page anyway.

Only I have access to manage the polls, but that can change. How often they change is determined by the ideas I get for them. The current poll needs changing but I haven't thought of anything yet.
